We hiked up about half way and it was spectacular. A bit challenging if you're not experienced, so we didn't go too high. But so worth the hike. I wasn't going to go up any further and was so glad I did. It looked worse...More

This starts with a fairly leisurely walk then transitions as you near the top to a place that stopped many hikers because they felt unsafe. To get up the sloping transition, you will need to crawl up a sandstone incline without any handholds that will...More

The bell rock vortex is intense, the trail that leads up is easily accessible, of course you have to be careful you are climbing on rocks. It is a must to visit,

We circumnavigated the midsection...there is a narrow trail on the backside that splits into a high and low trail. Getting to the top can be quite challenging, scrambling up steep rock faces with little to grip on. You'll need the limber, quick, and have grippy...More

We are 60 and in good shape. The trail to Bell Rock is easy, however the climb up the rock is definitely more difficult. Have good hiking shoes. We went partway but the trail was getting to steep and turned back. Enjoyed the challenge and...More

We went as a family - with our two girls, aged 9 and 12. The kids loved the challenging hike of Cathedral Rock, so we wanted to try this one, too. We got up most of the way ok, but when we got to the...More

This is an easy walk but not really much to see unless you just want to see Bell Rock up close and personal. You can actually get the best picture of it at the beginning of the pathway.

You can do the short hike up to the rock with everyone. I believe it's 0.5 miles. But going up the rock would not be ideal.

I did trail maintenance with a volunteer crew half a day a week for five years. Saw one rattler, and a small one at that. Have lived here 15 years and one washed into our drainage ditch after a particularly huge downpour... More
