Rainy walk.

Even though we did not have ideal weather, we enjoyed a hike here. There is beauty everywhere you look.

Bell rock is one of my favorite rock formations in Sedona. Stands out in the valley like a beautiful red bell. It is on the way to the town of Oak Creek. You will not miss it as you drive right by it when your way to town. By the way Oak Creek is a favorite destination for shopping and... More

Sedona is a beautiful area if you've never see it before. Bell Rock is one of the area features but all of the viewpoints are usually full. Try to get there as early as possible!

We (a couple in our late 60s) set off from the Southern car park late one afternoon intending to stroll for a while and then turn around. But the walk was so pleasant and views stunning so we got to a point where we were tempted to do the Courthouse loop. There we met a local man who said we... More

About a mile each way on a fairly level trail. When you get to the rock there are lots of paths to climb up a few levels which the kids (and I) loved. Definitely recommend with kids (ours = 4, 8). We went up late afternoon and was not crowded and had the benefit of some really nice sunset views.... More

Stunning scenery! About a two hour hike, not including time to take pictures, which is irresistible!

Several ways to do these hikes.Bell Rock and The Courthouse. I'd stay away from weekends though. Trail gets a lot of bikes and hikers.

We went with family, including our 5 year old grandson. Everyone was able to make the climb, stopping now and then to catch our breath and have it taken away by the views. Bring water and sunscreen and don't forget the photo ops!

We were headed southbound on AZ-179 and saw Bell Rock for a good part along the way. There are several viewpoints for this along AZ-179. We stopped at Yavapai Point which is a turn off on the southbound route (the western lane of AZ-179), which also has parking. Later we went a little further south and found that on the... More
