Due to the weather we weren’t able to get up to it. But seeing from afar was just as beautiful. The view is breathtaking and I recommend checking this out.

The woman who chose this spot and commissioned the building of this chapel certainly had a vision. It is the perfect spot for sky gazing, rock gazing, photographing, or quietly reflecting inside the chapel. (This is not a functioning church, but a chapel. It is there simply for quiet reflection in an extraordinarily beautiful place.) The gift shop is lovely. The whole site is staffed by volunteers from a church in the area.

It was nice to go in and reflect on life during these times of COVID. The place is beautiful and allows your mind to go to another place spiritually. The gift shop downstairs has some nice artifacts and knickknacks for your friends and family. Its worth the visit if you are in the Sedona area.

Driving around late – decided to check out the man-made chapel, getting closer… I personally checked to make sure the doors were locked. I said this place gives me the heebie jeebies.. others were creeped too. We were parked right out front the closed gate in the pitch dark. Drove around some more… star gazing was beautiful... I wished I had seen more / found better lookout points to visit at night. -drove by the chapel in daylight, very neat structure. Huge. wasn't interested in going back though. HA enjoy.

What an odd place to place a church. It is an architectural marvel, it fits into the land scape so well it looks as if it has always been there. It is a lovely church inside, not too ornate but definitely a place of worship. Due to its size it was very crowded. The walk up to it is steep but wheelchair friendly .I think having a gift shop downstairs is tacky but I guess there is a reason for it. I think it is worth a visit as the views from here were lovely.
