This is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Sedona area. Good in the summer if you are looking for a shady canyon. Plan on getting your feet wet, especially if you're out here in the spring.

We had a great family adventure on this hike. Not the most strenuous hike. Just a leisurely hike along the creek. Great scenery.

Just the right level of intensity to enjoy the natural beauty of the canyon. The trail crisscrosses the creek so wear hiking shoes and take the time to enjoy

This was our favorite of the Sedona hikes we were able to take, and well worth it! In autumn Oak Creek is simply gorgeous--a riot of blazing colors and vivid yellows. The West Fork trail begins at an abandoned cabin site, and proceeds from there...More

This trail was located mostly thru a wooded area that offered great shade and cool temperatures. The hike itself isn't very hilly but you do cross a creek about 10 times balancing on rocks that would be difficult if you don't have good balance. We...More

What an awesome hike! We were fortunate to have snow the entire hike! We came to Sedona on our birthday trip and for some warm weather. Cooler temps were in store for us and it was still amazing! We were recommended this hike by our...More

The trail is easy but the 13 crossings of Oak Creek are not. But the good news is once you've done a few crossings, you're getting the hang of it and the 13 crossings on the return are much easier:).

This trail starts with a visit to a ruined house and out-buildings, which alone is worth the price of admission. Then the hike continues along the west fork of Oak Creek, through the woods and within the canyon with the walls looming alongside. Great way...More

There has been much written about the big fire about 2 years ago in the Oak Creek Canyon and how it affected the fabulous West Fork Trail. We just went Monday (never go on a weekend) and it was a bit disappointing for me, having...More

Expect a 5 hour hike in and out. Thickly wooded, beautiful, clear brook. The historic hunting lodge burned years ago but there are remnants of an apple orchard, chicken coup and garden.

Most of the trail is covered by shade. It is my recommendation to bring an insect repellent for the mosquitoes and other bugs.
