Gorgeous trail that was beginner to moderate

Loved this trail for the different types of foliage, interesting uphill portions and beautiful scenery.

I'm sure that you've heard from everyone you know that if you go to Sedona make sure that you hike the Boynton Canyon Trail. They're correct, however the time of year, time of day, and what you do once you are there makes the world of difference. I like to hit the trail just about at sunrise. This generally means... More

Contrary to what others did, we found a parking area that did not at all take us near Enchantment Resort. It wasn't as long as the others' hikes though but since this was on the very first morning of our visit it gave us a great introduction to hiking the area. We were at the vortex in time to relax... Nice easy walk. Just spectacular view from up close to red rocks. Only negative is that you walk along the Enchantment property for a good part of the hike. It is a great property, but doses distract somewhat from the view.

What a great 1.5 mile hike. A flutist played atop the warrior/masculine rock directly across from Cocina the feminine rock. The flutist gave each of us heart shaped rocks as we were ascending to remind us of our connection between earth and sky. This is a very popular hiking spot with 360 degree gorgeous scenery.

We throughly enjoyed our hike today through Boynton canyon. It was actually around10 km roundtrip. Mostly it's a good flat trail, but the last 1/2 mile, is a real challenge... quite a steep rocky climb to the summit. I'd do it again.. beautiful peaceful hike.

The views are breathtaking and how can you not feel awesome in this place? We hiked about seven miles in four hours with a picnic lunch stop and lots of time to revel in this beautiful place. The most disappointing things about it was the sprawling Enchantment Resort with it's invasive presence and construction and leaf blower noises ever present.... More

This is an easy hike, and so pretty. It is tucked away behind the Enchantment Resort. So when you are done you can have a great meal at the resort.

Very easy to follow! About 6 miles round trip. Not challenging at all. Just great views and lots of nice scenery. AND we came across a whole family of javelinas!

I love this Canyon. It has great views and helps clear our soul. We came across this awesome guy who gives away heat shaped rocks and tells us they are magic. I believe him because my life changed for the better after, and how did he ever climb up the top rock so fast and start playing his flute?
