Breathtaking in its red rock beauty, the Canyon is a spectacular 16-mile gorge with streams and waterfalls between sheer rock walls.

i had anticipated being able to walk along the river. nearly all of the pullouts were high above the water, still a nice drive when going between Sedona and flagstaff

Beautiful drive up and down the scenic Oak Creek Canyon...we did it twice so we could take turns driving vs watching the scenery.

On route to Flagsaff from Sedone, with parking on other side of bridge on left. Had to turn around a little up the road and come back. Oak Creek rushing down below and sun coming up against rocks and bridge are great combination.

Oak Creek Canyon is breathtaking! The rock colorations and formations are truly awesome! You have to see this area when you are visiting Arizona!

Would highly recommend the drive up 89A and Oak Creek Canyon. The terrain changes dramatically from Sedona and the highway is something to drive through.

Loved this area. Nice hotels, shops restaurants and just to drive around. About 10 minutes from the 'hooping' part of Sedona's shopping. Seems like a newer area..

We hiked for a few hours here, was very beautiful. The creek crossings were challenging due to the ice. We saw many getting wet feet, so be prepared.

Took time to see Oak Creek Canyon in the winter . . . This was the fourth trip through the Canyon. Words cannot describe the beauty and grandeur and the differing affect the seasons have on how it is perceived. This time we had to...More

Can't miss when in Sedona. Winding drive up Rt 89A with literally 100s of spectacular views. Many places to pull over and view. Make sure to switch drivers so everyone gets the benefits.

This would be a lovely drive, but few places would be wheelchair accessible. I would recommend stopping at the Junipine Lodge for lunch. The food is wonderful and I think I recall that they have a wheelchair ramp.

Unless they are having flooding, the rain shouldn't hurt the drive.
