Since we are from the northeast this landscape is so different and picturesque we were taken aback from the shear beauty of the rock formations as reflected in the lake. The walking trails are relatively easy but rocky in spots. Trail markers are not well defined but difficult to really get lost. A great adventure with outstanding scenery. Well worth... More

Was very cold during my visit, but plenty of hiking and touring to do. Watson lake has a lot of hiking trails around it, and a disc golf course as well.

We went here on a Monday in February - very few people there - beautiful views and scenery, some interesting birds - clean and tidy and you can just sit and admire the beauty or do one of the hikes. WE did not have time to hike but would like to go back and do so. They have some dry... More

Stopped by the Watson Lake pull-out on Hwy 89 to snap a few pictures and could have stayed there all day. The granite dells rock formations are amazing to see and there was an abundance of water fowl on the lake. Hiking in this area was superb, but even if you are not a hiker Watson Lake area has a... My husband and I walked around part of some of the trails at Watson Lake on February 15, 2017. We drove into the park entrance to this lake on a Wednesday and on Wednesdays there is no charge for parking. We did have some difficulty finding the location of hiking trails. We walked around some areas of this park. Then... More

A man-made Lake that winds through the Granite boulder area known as The Dells. A fun place to canoe or kayak.

I love this area so much - the water, birds, and the dells - so much to explore! I love walking Pea Vine Trail with my dogs. There are always people out enjoying this area. Also, there are often events taking place, too, that are fun for families.

From the turnout on HWY 89 the sunrises are spectacular. The Dells are framed turning red and gold from the sunrise. The lake is at the fullest level in many years. The hike along the Peavine Trail on the east side of the lake is one of the easiest in the area. Nice way to spend a Sunday morning.

It's almost like you are transported to another world. There are great trails for hiking and mountain biking; although most trails are leaning towards the advanced when it comes to mountain biking. Perfect lake for kayaking and a wonderful location to take pictures if you are a photog.

Hiking is very nice with some excellent spots for bird watching. Horse shoe pits, picnic areas. Barbecue grills and Playground equipment.
