Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a night out recently and it was Wonderful! Had the chance to go see Music by ABBA with Rajaton. This group of singer performers were phenomenal! The Phoenix Symphony did an Amazing job as well. Will definitely go back to see other groups as well as the Phoenix Symphony in the near future!

Symphony Hall is a great location for the Arizona Opera. We enjoyed La Bohème from seats in the Orchestra. I stood in line the entire intermission to get a cup of hot water. Can you add another barista? It would be much appreciated.

Attended Messiah last night. It only confirms what I always knew about Michael Christie - he is clueless. The entire performance was out of tune, the tempi were absolutely ridiculous, the dynamics and phrasings were forced and there was absolutely no emotion is the entire piece. Christie dances around like he is conducting a ballet and seems totally oblivious to the horrible intonation, sloppy entrances, cutoffs and articulation. Phoenix deserves better.

We are from Chicago and were frequently in attendance at the CSO. I would rate the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra right therewith the Chicago Orchestra that has been rated #1 or 2 in the US. My congratulation to the entire Phoenix Organization, for the 15 yers that we have been subscribers to the Pops Series.

We attended one of their school symphony sessions with our homeschool group. it was only 45 minutes long but that was appropriate timing for my kids age level, 2nd and 6th grade. The composer was entertaining and the kids learned how some composers got their ideas for their music. The symphony hall is clean and the seats comfy. We walked about 5 minutes to the Arrogant Butcher after and had lunch. There is parking all around but it will put you back $12 for the 1 hour you spend there.

We just returned from the Phoenix Symphony and Chorus with Jacomo Barios, conducting, and Tony DeSare, a vocalist. It was truly great. My husband and I have never been to the symphony, but after this experience we will be back. Mr. Barios was fun to watch and very personable with the audience. The music was delightful and festive with songs everyone new for Holidays, including Hannakah. Mr. DeSare sang like a young Frank Sinatra, and the audience was in awe of him. The concert lasted about 2 hrs. With an intermission. All the ushers were very helpful, friendly, and yet, professional. The seating was great. Every seat had an unobstructed view of the stage. The acoustics were wonderful.

Recently went to the Phoenix Symphony for the first time. It can be a little tricky to find with all of the construction, one-way streets and light rail tracks. The best advice I could give is that it is directly across from the main entrance of the Hyatt in downtown Phoenix (the one with the circular restaurant on top). Just south of the Hyatt is a parking garage that charged $12 (pretty reasonable for downtown) the night we were there.
Having never been to this symphony hall, I debated for a while where to sit. I finally chose the cheapest option, I think $22/seat, that was located in the back on either side. It was a great view and am very happy I went with the more economical option. According to the seating chart, a few seats in on our row was $10 more a ticket and a few rows up was even more than that. Being in any of those seats would not have added much to our experience.
Consider getting the cheap seats and saving your money for dinner before the symphony.

Best way to get into the Christmas Spirit!
We went to this Pops Concert and throughly enjoyed it. Wonderful orchestra and choir topped off by a delightfully energetic conductor, Stuart Chafetz, with two wonderful vocalists, Scarlet Strallen & Gary Mauer, who both have quite the NYC Broadway resumes. All delightfully done. Highly recommend.

Do you sell ANY tickets at the box office or permit resellers to buy all up and sell at profoundly high mark up?
Thought I was dealing direct and bought from Vivid without front end disclosure

Go to the Symphony's website to see if there are still tickets available for a particular performance before the show. If there are, you should be able to buy them from the box office. The cheapest way to buy tickets is to subscribe in the spring before a new season. You can also buy tickets for an individual performance online from the Symphony's website and either print them out yourself or pick them up at Will-Call.

Where is the cheapest place to park near symphony hall?
Written 27 January 2018
We took the light train from Mesa. You can catch it at several places along the line. I am not familiar with the parking.

Regular classics concerts are not appropriate for a three year old. Pops, Xmas oK I guess. Call the office.

How are the acoustics in the balcony (cheap seats :) ) compared to the main floor? Thank you!
Written 13 October 2016
Balcony seats are particularly good. Elevator available. Acoustics are good and you get a great view. (It's where I sit)

Great restaurants walking distance from phoenix symphony hall?
Written 8 March 2015
No Brainer. The "District, American Kitchen and Wine Bar" in the Sheraton (Downtown). 1 block from the Herzberger Theater and 1 1/2 blocks from the Symphony. I have reviewed this restaurant on TA and Yelp. Great food, good price, easy walk to the downtown venues, and has amazing drinks, wine, and a surprise for dessert. (Ask about the "secret menu.") Enjoy!
