This attraction is a real treat. Very educational. I'm glad I took the time to visit this museum. It's an all day adventure so wear comfortable shoes. There is a very nice restaurant in the museum offering food selections from different countries.

The entire group loved the interaction headsets that guided them through their self guided discovery visit at the museum. I will definitely keep this attraction in mind for other groups

We went to this museum today after hearing it was one of the top ten things to see in the Phoenix area. We allotted only 2 hours and ran out of time. We were lucky to see the special exhibit (at an added cost which was well worth it) called Dragons & Vines. It showcased the amazing artistry of intricate... More

My daughter, son-in-law, and I went to this museum because we had heard good things about it. I didn't know what to expect, but we all enjoyed the diversity of the instruments and music that we heard there. The building is comprised of two floors that are divided up into sections. We were only able to cover some of them.... More

If you love music as I do in all its forms, this is a very special place to visit while you are in The Valley of the sun. The museum is organized around continents or was and is just amazing. The Steinway piano and Martin guitar exhibits are worth the visit by themselves. Their gift shop is really fun with... More

Through videos of performances and simultaneous museum displays, it shows the music of each world culture, how it evolved, and how interacted with the music of other cultures.

Really enjoyed visiting the MIM with family and my teenage kids. We were impressed with size of the museum and the variety of instruments. We enjoyed hearing a pianist play spontaneously. The restaurant is also wonderful. Great food and highly recommend taking the time to visit for a day. It's worth it!!

Plan to visit and plan to be amazed as over 15,000 musical instruments are displayed! This museum is the perfect followup after days of viewing Arizona's natural splendor. Having extra time before our flight home, three of us convinced the non-music admirer of our group to spend it indoors learning about musical instruments. Granted we were dubious at the fleet...
