Walking among the largest desert flower garden is just amazing. The sights and smells of the herb garden is just fabulous. The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed the butterfly house. My advice is to wear comfortable flat shoes, because it took us over two hours to enjoy all the beauty of the botanical garden.

This is such a wonderful treasure in Phoenix! Quiet & serene in the middle of the city! It is beautifully landscaped with shady areas along the many pathways. We visited on a day that was about 96 degrees and were pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. It was such a treat to finally be able to put names to the... More

The arid desert is a place where any biological entity has to fight all odds to survive. But when you see the blooms of the desert plants and their ability to attract bees humming birds and sharing attitude make us reinforce our belief" to survive..share whatever little you have" Nice experience. At the entrance there is a writeup about Lonely George..a plant... I was there the year before with my sister and went back again with my husband the following year. Beautiful place. Great cactus and native AZ foliage.

I must visit place just up from the zoo. Thought the price was a bit high, but worth every penny after 3 1/2 hours of walking around on an absolutely beautiful day. Love the butterfly area, WATCH WHERE YOU STEP. A MUST, A MUST! Do recommend taking a bottle for water, most mountains have a bottle water filler which is... More

We always enjoy visiting this Garden - the cacti and other plants are amazing and have been collected from Mexico, South America and the U.S. This trip we saw a special butterfly exhibit showcasing indigenous species - wonderful to be among the fluttering beauties. Great lunch at the cafe and a terrific waitress! It's a must visit spot in Phoenix.

So many different cacti which I have never seen before! All the grounds were neatly maintained and grouped according to their natural settings. Great butterfly exhibit, although the wind had many of them hugging the screen enclosure. We were lucky enough to see many of the cacti blooming. That was absolutely beautiful! We asked about a senior discount which was... More

Fee of $20 was worth it. Largest desert flower garden. Enjoyed butterfly house and the amazing smells of the herb garden. Patio cafe with outdoor tables were a nice rest stop. Set aside 3 hrs min to see things. Recognizes aaa discount

We went on one of there free days and it was amazing. We got there before they opened and the weather was gorgeous-- a little brisk which is perfect. Very light crowds at opening made it so wonderful walking the trails and seeing the gorgeous desert plants. We saw quail, bunnies, lizards. We visit Phoenix often, but this was our... More
