This square includes several old homes and buildings that were preserved as the modern downtown built up next to it. Tours of the Victorian house and the cottages are available during the day. The plaza also hosts a South American restaurant and a pizza restaurant as well as the science museum. There is a free audio tour online that tells you about the buildings and history of the square. It’s with a stop if you are in the area.

Enjoyed both the tour of the Rosson House and the tour of the Square. In the house, Amal reviewed the history of the families who lived there and how the house has changed over the years. It is stunning to look at inside and well preserved. Sarah guided us through the tour of the Square and explained the history of the region and the archaeological digs that took place under the parking garage. Both of the guides were smart, well informed, friendly and cheerful. I learned and lot and really enjoyed chatting with them.

Beautiful historic area, restaurants cafes and shops. Loved the relaxed vibe, historic architecture and big trees. Didn't have time for official tour of the museum. I was looking for a historical area in this big city and I got it! Near university area. Parking was ok.
