This is a hidden jewel that is just waiting to be discovered by all the NASA enthusiasts. Kids of all ages would welcome the chance to visit this museum and a visit back in the Space Shuttle exportation and space history. The staff is very...More

My wife and I and two friends from Canada stopped by the Challenger Space Center in Peoria yesterday. We joined a guided tour in progress being led by Taylor. Taylor has really done his homework! His knowledge of the history of the space program and...More

My husband and I took our 9-year-old grandson here to participate in one of their space simulations entitled, "Rendevous With a Comet." It was a unique experience as we were each given a responsibility to perform during our simulation which lasted for two hours.

Karl was so knowledgeable it made the visit even more special. The exhibits are so well done and respectful of our brave astronauts.

Self guided tour was a waste of time and money. There were a couple of interesting displays, but most were boring. Other space centers that I have visited have been amazing. This one was extremely disappointing.

This was an incredible event. I took with my son with me who is 24 years old for a business meeting during the week and we had some extra time so I scheduled this. While I was uncertain from the description on the website of...More

My grandsons loved it, but I found it a little boring. I have been around long enough to remember many of the space shuttles, and have seen other displays that are interesting to me, but may be a little much for children.

There was really nothing to do. It would be cool for a school field trip but not very interesting for adults. I love space travel and NASA but didnt find much to see.

I wish more people would visit because then there would be more resources for upkeep. It's an interesting, if dated, exhibit. Certainly a worth-wile trip for kids, as it will give great insight into our (defunked) space program.

Is this a good place for a busy, always on the go 5 yr old? He's "all boy." Are there interactive exhibits to keep him interested and busy? How far a drive from Scottsdale? Thanks!

We took our 5 yr old grandchild and found it to be terrible. Mostly advance level exhibits, that require much reading. We were very disappointed. Not much was interactive and most of what they did have was either broken... More

Hello Challenger Space Center, What are some of the displays that you have for us to view? How many square feet is your building? How long does it take from beginning to end? How far are you located off of Highway 17

Hi 336ron. We visited this place in April. Frankly, it was not a great trip. We drove from AJ and it was not worth the time or the gas. We got a free entrance ticket from the AJ library - and it was still overpriced! There... More

Is this a walk in museum or do you need a reservation? Is this a walk through museum?

Hi, it's a walk-through museum. They'll take reservations for a group of 10 or 12, and I know some schools have field trips there, but you can show up anytime they're open and stroll through at your own pace. There's... More
