This is a little gem hidden away in Patagonia. With just an easy stroll around, you can see lots of different birds in their native habitat, up close, and you don't have to walk far. Maybe this isn't great for serious birders, but for amateurs just wanting to get a look at some of the birds in the area, it... More

Love this place. I'm a birder, and this place is low-key. They just let you pay your $5 and spend the day watching birds! What could be better than that? (Well, if they had bathrooms here, it would be perfect.)

We are new to the birding world and truly appreciated spending time at Paton's in Patagonia, AZ. This is an actual person's backyard that is now maintained and supported by the Audubon Society. There was a nice person from Audubon there who helped ensure that we saw all the birds and hummingbirds that were around during our visit. We were... More

The new backyard is now open allowing even more viewing opportunities. Three species of hummers were around and a Lazuli Bunting was around. Also a Grey Hawk which kept most birds in the brush.

This was our first time there and enjoyed walking around. Not much bird activity, but we would definitely go back. Nice garden. They are remodeling and wild like to see it when it is finished. It is located very close to the Patagonia preserve.

I was first welcomed to this wonderful property in 1993 by Marion and Wally Paton, and have returned many times through the years. Recently the property was acquired by the Tucson Audubon Society, and on my visit today I was impressed with the new venues in place, and plans in progress for the ertire centre. Adjacent to the parking lot... More

Love the relaxed seating areas and feeders to enhance the birding experience. It is also fun to meet other birders and share experiences. We have been coming here for many years. We appreciate the work being done to preserve this special spot.

What a find. This is a hidden gem found in Patagonia, AZ. The Paton family have turned their family home over to the Audubon Society. The area is being renovated but there are birds aplenty. We visited in early February and there were just a few Anna's Hummingbirds visiting the feeders. We were very pleased to see many other birds... More

While staying in Patagonia over Christmas, we visited this Haven several times, varying the times of day. As beginning birders, we were thrilled with the variety and number of sightings here. There are benches in many locations, and we'd come, sit and wait to see who showed up. Lots of activity at the feeders. Met many birders from around the... More

Under renovation so limited access. Some good birdwatching spots. Overall a small area and minimal species: claim to fame is hummingbirds and we were here during cold so none seen.
