Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a cool, iconic stop! We were there early, so they were not yet open, but it was so neat to be there, regardless. It's open, quiet, and feels like you have the whole world to yourself out there. The cacti and aloe plants were huge and the scenery beautiful. I loved the Route 66 painted on the road in front - perfect photo op! They had a cat walking around and there are wild burros all in that area of roadway. There is an outhouse available.

They did a nice job of re building and keeping it as original as possible. It would have been fun to go inside, but, I guess it depends on when the owner choses to open and not. Still worth a photo op for those who love the history of 66!!

My husband and I stopped here after coming through the Sidewinder Route 66 from Oatman.
Neat stop with lots of souvenirs plus cool photo ops.
Best of all shop owner was friendly and helpful.
Definitely check this place if you're heading to the Sidewinder!

An absolute must stop here. We did not have much idea what cool Springs is. Jeremy was fantastic! He told us quite a bit about the history of the place. We also didn't know that this place was the inspiration for the movie Cars. It is an absolute recommendation! Jeremy, thank you so much for your involvement, you were amazing.

This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. It was a great stop. And great conversation with shop owner about the area. We had went there after visiting Oatman, Arizona. Where the mayor of the town is a donkey, donkeys roam wild through the town and the little gift shops have bags of food so that you can feed them. I so much enjoyed this trip!

Another great throw back to a forgotten time. Looked like an old gas station on old Route 66. It is now a convenience/gift store. But still a fun place to visit. Out front in the middle of the road is an old painted Route 66 sign.

What a great sight after driving over a long plain and just starting up into the mountains. It's a great restored Route 66 gas station. Perfect place to stop and get a soda. They have a small museum in the back and lots of souvenirs. Owner was great and told us this was the prettiest part of Route 66 and there were 126 curves in the road between us and Oatman (We lost count around 50).

The little store was part handmade jewelry, part Rte. 66 souvenirs, part museum. The gentleman running the place was friendly and knowledgeable. The area had also hosted film/movie making. Last stop to get a cold drink on the way to Oatman. Stop and stretch your legs and check it out.

Good spot to stop a enjoy a Route 66 classic site. You can get a souvenir or cold drink, learn a bit about 66 history and a bit about movie history. I recommend you stop at places like this on 66 and spend a few bucks so they stay open for the future travelers along this historic highway.

There's a nifty porta-john available for visitor's, or you can hold it until you reach the drop-toilets in Oatman-(roughly 20 minutes away)

Need a guide for Route 66? Naw - don't bother! Go get yourself a good set of maps (I highly recommend: Here It Is! The Route 66 Map Series) and a good guide book (like The Route 66 EZ66 Guide for Travelers) and just explore. Don't be afraid of getting lost and wandering.
