The house is wonderfully impressive and the short but very imformative tour is really good.Our family of 8 really enjoyed it.

Thanks to the museum's great tour guide. She brought real heart and soul to the tour. Her singing of Robert Louis Stevenson's requiem was beautiful. Our children were captivated too

The Robert Louis Stevenson museum has been totally restored after the cyclone that hit the island in the 90s. The tour guide provides in depth detail about each room in the house, including providing information about each photo in the rooms. This was very insightful...More

I am pretty sure we paid by card. It's a pretty long uphill walk so you are best getting a taxi especially if you want to climb to RLS grave which is another steep climb.

It is quite a hike up to the grave and can be very slippery when wet. I agree with the previous comments that perhaps a visit to the museum would be sufficient, I wouldn't recommend the walk to the grave site.
