Go-to swim spot
Jan. 2020
This is one of our family favourites. One of the best freshwater spots in Upolu. The only downside is that it is loved by many others so it tends to get very full during the weekends but especially during the Holidays.
We've been coming here since the beginning of time and seen Piula through it's stages and they've done pretty well with accomodation (new fales, ladies garden bathroom like what?!, a beautiful deck, a little shop run by the ladies and more) and this is all managed in the little space they have so well done!

Awesome spot for a day outing with family and friends. Friendly, safe and good value for money.
Good facility and for $10 WST you can drive your vehicle all the way to the pools or park it up the parking area - safe & free.

Great Place For a Cool Swim
Feb. 2020
The water is cool and inviting and you can swim through the the cave to the other side if your game. There are fish in the pool but do not bother the swimmers. A great place for a picnic and a swim.

So beautiful
Oct. 2019 • Friends
This is such a pretty place to visit (like so many places in Samoa). Situated behind a monastery, you walk down beautiful steps to arrive at this breathtaking spot.

A freshwater and saltwater twin pools are here. Swimming here under the gaze of seminary is amazing. These waters are quite popular with locals as well.

After To Sua Ocean Trench this was a very different swimming experience. While at the volcanic sinkhole on the south coast the water is salty, here - on the north side - one swims just next to the ocean in a freshwater pool in front of a cave.

To get here one parks the car further up at the Piula Theological College of the Methodists. Entry fee is only 5 WST (in comparison to the 20 WST at To Sua). The pool is accessible during the week (8am to 4pm), but closed on Sundays.

While at To Sua I saw several foreign tourists, here the people were all Samoans, many of them though - judging from the way the spoke - living in Australia or USA. Mostly families with small kids, having picnicked at some fale's and they were having a lot of fun in the water and outside, laughing and dancing. So more than the nature I enjoyed here experiencing Samoans entertaining themselves.

Amazing natural wonder
Nov. 2019
We were very lkucky to be the only ones there and took a lovely swim in the clear waters. We didn't venture to far into the cave as signs indicated that the deeper cave was not safe.
