THis is a beautiful volcano in Ecuador near the town of Banos. There is a road leading up the mountain away from Banos going toward Palate where you can find a swing. The view from the swing in breathtaking of the Tungurahua volcano and valley.

Been going for many many years still a safe quaint friendly town. Has raised prices since use of dollar and a little touristy but great place to do everything.

We got the best view of the volcano when we left Banos to go to Riobamba. It is active, and is beautiful sight, as are most of the Volcanos in Ecuador

It is the most beautiful green and fertile area within a mountainous location. Don't worry about the active volcano scares as it's well worth the visit.

Basically all of central Ecuador is gorgeous. The view from up here are amazing. We took a bus up to the tree house but there were several people hiking all the way up there. Definitely go up there and see the view!

Great view from outside of town. You can sometimes see ashes coming from the volcano. Evacuation plans are in place.
