We made 20 km of the Ruta de las cascadas by bike and saw many beautiful waterfalls. You can stop in different place to have lunch or simply enjoy the landscape.

A must while staying in Baňos. We went by bus (5 dollar each) from the city. There vere at least 3 stops to "enjoy" the adrenalin attractions which was annoying for the rest who weren't interested. At the end we visited the biggest waterfall -...More

The route of the waterfalls is a very pleasant route to be distracted more than anything because it has a two-story Chiva that greatly improves the experience The trip consists of a visit to the dam of Agoyán, after 10 minutes to reach the Cascada...More

We were here in late May, the rainy season and the water was rushing everywhere. The main route, E30, had several smaller falls along with the main large falls across the rivers. The only issues were the rock slides temporarily closing the road. Other than...More

Amazing route! Just be careful who you rent your bike from, mine broke after 500m (and got insulted by staff...)

The route is on a highway with large trucks and buses and the waterfalls and cable cars are just OK so skip the bike ride and take a cab to the main attraction: Pailon del Diablo

Rent a bike and go along the Ruta de las cascadas and you will get to see so much free waling water, stunning canyons within impressive landscape. Many activities offered on the way such as zip line.

Renting bikes and riding along the Ruta de las Cascadas was one of my favorite things I did during my two week trip in Ecuador. The ride from Banos to el diablo was beautiful, not too hard at all, and cheap! If you make it...More
