After a boring, steep slog up an old road (possibly part of an old ski run) the trail becomes a real trail and traverses beautiful meadows, rocks and scree. You can get pretty close to the glacier. It is convenient to town and easy to find a taxi back into town - just wave one down on the road. There... More

We took a taxi out of town, on the advice of Tourist Information. There is then a choice of paths up to the glacier. On the walk, there are lovely views of Ushuia and the Beable Channell, in addition to the glacier itself. Well woth the effort.

Great, well marked trail. The first part is easy on a wide gravel road but it then narrows to a trail that goes over a stream and becomes continuously steeper as it traverses up the mountain. Gorgeous scenery all the way with great scenery of the glacier ahead and the Beagle Channel behind and mountains with trees all around.

We walked from town to the glacier. Took 3 hours from town to the glacier. Pleasant walk with good views over the city through the valley. Glacier is small but it is what it is.

High recommended, my best day at Ushuaia I rented bicycle at Ushuaia Extremeo (San Martin 830) and rode to the Te House were the taxi usually would drive you to. It a nice 6-7 km of up the hill, easy to find way. The hike was just beautiful, creak with water, tread turning red and the outlook over Ushuaia. At... More

The hike was very vertical, and can be very challenging if you don't normally hike. Very steep towards the top, but amazing views. We took a cab to the start of the trail and it's free to hike. We just grabbed a cab that dropped someone else off after and we were back into town in no time. Total hike... More

Its a short standard trekking with the pro that is pretty close to ushuaia and you can reach it by foot. The hikking experience is poor conpared to other locations in the neighborhood, such as glacier vinciguerra, cerro guanaco, etc. The sight is nice tough, if you are lucky enough to climb it on a good weather day. Once you... More

Took a taxi to the "Tea House" from my hotel and back with no problem. Beautiful hike! Beautiful views! You can actually just walk from town, if you want. Cheap and totally worth it!

We wanted to do some trekking and asked around. We were pointed to this attraction. The hike up to the glacier point was good. At the glacier point, although we did not see ice but the sight was marvelous. From there, there are two treks, medium and difficult. Due to time constraints we took the medium trek and the view... While the glacier itself is not overly impressive, this is a really beautiful hike with stunning views. Just make sure you take the trail to the right along the river. It's prettier than going up the main road. Head out early and you'll have the whole mountain to yourself.
