About Patagonia Adventure Explorer
Patagonia Explorer is an Argentine company that has been providing non-conventional, exclusive and customized sailing tour services on the Beagle Channel since 1998. We sail with small groups of no more than 26 passengers in a friendly and familiar atmosphere, accompanied by professional English- and Spanish-speaking tour guides. We sail on the KAMS and the TELIENKA Yachts, 15-meter long twin boats that allow getting real close to the islands where colonies of sea lions and cormorants live. The boats are equipped with all necessary boat safety equipment and meet all authorization requirements set by the Tourist Board of Ushuaia and the Argentine coast guard (Argentine Naval Prefecture). Currently we have adapted to new COVID-19 protocols to take care of your health and ours.

Beagle Channel navigation with mini trekking by Patagonia Explorer

We work with small groups of up to 18 passengers in a familiar and friendly environment with the company of professional Spanish and English speaking guides.
The excursions are carried out with the "KAMS and" TELIENKA "yachts, twin vessels of 15 meters in length, which due to their dimensions allow a maximum approach to the islands allowing preferential sightings.
During our tour we visit Isla Alicia, Isla de Pájaros and Isla de Lobos, where we make very close sightings of the fauna of the Beagle Channel. We know the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse built in 1919, a true emblem of the City of Ushuaia. At the end, we disembark at Bridges Island to walk a path of interpretation of flora and birds, telling the story of the Yámanas aborigines. Here are the largest Yámana anthropogenic shells in the region.
It also has a panoramic point from where we can observe the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the City of Ushuaia in the distance.

We had a wonderful trip about 11 months ago. The staff was really kind; showed us the beautiful surroundings, explained a lot about the nature and animals.

We took the Beagle Channel excursion on a catamaran run by the company "Rumbo Sur" the catamaran was spacious with a snack bar on board. As we sailed across the channel we were able to see up close the wildlife and had a guide talk to us about the history of the area.. We made a brief stop at the Sea lion Island and made it as far as the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse. We missed out on the penguins colony as they had moved out for the season.

A tour to the essentials of the Beagle Canal and worth it, especially with this small ship that can approach more than others. Sympathic team and atmosphere - do it.

This is a fantastic tour. Staff are very friendly, and though we don't know Spanish, it doesn't matter as they speak English as well. We had great fun on the boat, saw the famous light tower, sealions, birds that look like penguins, and even whales! for multiple times! it was fantastic, and the guide is very knowledgeable. There is also hot chocolate/tea/coffee and cookies on the boat. We had whiskey and took a picture of everyone. I won the lottery and got to bring the national flag on the boat home. The guide even sent us pictures of whales after the trip ends. It's an amazing experience. :)
