We were there in clouds, so the view into Chile was not overwhelming. But one of the nicer sections of the park and one where you can spend some time.

As a lake, it was average. The trek to get there was also average. Patagonia has better to offer, such as El Chalten's more strenuous but more beautiful hikes.

Do this walk tho the Chilean boarder. It is an easy 3 hour walk I. Beautiful terrain with old trees and the view over the lake. Bring a small pique-nique and then have lunch at the restaurant at the start of the walk.

This is really a spectacular part of the world and well worth a visit from town. Even if the weather is not all that great it is still a very atmospheric place to visit.

Great place to hike. Not that difficult terrain since it is not going up that steep. It takes about an hour and a half to get to the border of Chili starting from the parking lot. We saw many birds and even a red fox....More

This is a large lake surrounded by beautiful scenery of snow peaked mountains. It was a bitterly cold day so didn't have the chance to enjoy the scenery.
