We spent more time here than we expected as there was a lot of information to read in English. The free shuttle between town and the Glaciarium has limited seating, so make sure to get in line early, or you will have to wait an hour for the next one.

We stopped by this museum on the way to our hotel the day before visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier. Here we learned the how Glaciers are formed, how this areas Glaciers compare and vary from others around the world. We also learned of The history of the area and the evolution of then national park. It was a nice museum... More

We spent 45 minutes here for 300 pesos. Not worth it. There are two videos that were good. The one was in 3d. I am sure u could just Google pictures and videos of the glaciers and save a lot of money. There is an ice bar at the museum if this is of interest but also pricey

Not an earth shattering experience, but it is a decent science museum. A bit expensive. Use the shuttle from town which runs hourly

We visited this place after visiting the Moreno glacier which was very impressive. But you wonder how and why it all works and what impact climate change is having on this awesome natural wonder. The Glacarium explains it all. It was really well structured for both Spanish and English speakers. At 300 pesos each this is not cheap but having... More

Glaciation is a private museum about 10 kilometers outside El Calafate. Do this as soon as you get to Do Calafate before Glacier tours. The Glaciarium provides a free shuttle on the hour from a parking lot just off Ave Libertador, the main street in town of First of May Street. Lot of the streets are named after dates of... More

We only visited the ice bar, not the museum. The place is small but cute and super fun. There is only one bartender and the time there is limited so you will only be able to have a couple of drinks. There is a coffe shop in the place with great cakes and a beautiful view.

If you get a chance take the time to stop in Glaciarium. It explains how the glaciers came to be and the people who studied them. At the end there is a 3-D movie giving you an amazing view of all the glaciers along the Andes.

We visited the Glaciarium after we did a few Glacier expeditions. I had unanswered questions but the answers were all in the Glaciarium. I recommend that you visit the Glaciarium first if you have a chance so you can see all the info learned in action. It is very well done and well worth it.
