What a majestic site to behold. When you see the glacier by boat from afar it does not look like much. As you get closer, you realize its breadth. When you are on the walkways you get an idea of just how mammoth it is....More

This path system well laid out and has parts accessible to wheelchairs. This is where the tours take you after you go on a boat to see the front of the glacier where it meets the lake. Good to see the glacier from up top...More

The walkway around Perito Moreno is 'awesome' in the original meaning of the word — absolutely stunning and amazing. People tried to explain to me what it felt like to be here in person before I visited, but truly it's something you have to experience...More

These viewing galleries are very importatnt to view the spectacular views of perito moreno. Must visit all the galleries. Generally, it is good idea to visit this place during evening, but remember, the park closes at around 06:00 pm. Actually, in the morning, if it...More

We took more than a 100 photos of this place and it wasn't enough. We did Pasarelas with the Excursion Mini Trekking. After the hike they give you one hour to walk in the Pasarelas which is plenty of time.

A long walk through a well constructed walkway that descends and goes up overlooking the edge of perito Moreno. Glacier. Easygoing for young and not so young (we are 70 years old youngsters...). The view is formidable. The sound of huge blocks of glacier ice...More

The first glimpse I took at the Perito Moreno glacier was mesmerising. The light blue color that reflected from the ridges of the glacier complemented the surrounding area, from the snowy mountains behind to the bluish water. It's just art and well worth visiting to...More

Great place to view the glacier up close. From the walkways you can hear the loud ice cracking and see very close where the big pieces of ice fall into the water. A natural show worth every penny to witness

Hi, I am planning to go to El Calafate for three days. Morning 9am of 7th July I'll be reaching there and shall return on 9th July evening 6pm. I have ceratin queries:- 1. What are the excurssions I must go for? 2. What the excurssions are called in terms of Tourism companies? 3. I just drafted to visit Boat ride and national park on first day (What is the name of this excursion, I dont know. Please help.). On second day, planning to trek for Fitz Roy. On third day, Perito Moreno and walking on the glacier. Is this feasible? 4. Do I need any special shoes for Fitz Roy trekking? If yes, then how to manage for only one day trek? I mean , is it possible to rent? Where? How much? 5. Is it ok, to take any packages from the travel agencies or just use public transport? 6. What are the names of all the excurssions, I have listed for three days? 7. Approx, how much shall be the expenditure for the all three days? As, I am travelling with my one friend and our hotel and flight tickets are booked, is the renting of the car good option? Will it be cheap? Please guide.
