Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful place: myrtle forest, forests, views of Llao Llao, Lago Escondido, viewpoints.
You can go from the center of Bariloche by bus: with bus 20 you have to get off at Puerto Pañuelo (the bus takes you behind the Civic Center on San Martin Street, where the artisans' tent is).
From Puerto Pañuelo you walk a few meters and you reach the beginning of the trail: the forest is very beautiful, there is a small forest of myrtle trees and further on you reach a beach on Lake Moreno from where you can see the Hotel Llao Llao, the viewpoint , the bridge over Lake Moreno that divides Moreno West and Moreno East, you can see trout, etc.
Continuing in the same direction you reach the route (Circuito Chico) and walking a few meters and crossing the route you can start another path to go to Lago Escondido, Bahia Los Trunks and Miradores del Capilla and Bahia Lopez.
We walked towards Bahia Lopez where the hotel is thinking about having a snack there, we only took a few snacks because unfortunately there weren't many options... The bus 10 passes by the hotel but has a very bad frequency (the next one was going to pass after 10 p.m.), so we walked towards the road to Colonia Switzerland. Buses 13 and 10 pass there. The 10 goes to the center of Bariloche but it was very full and we couldn't get on, so we took the 13 to km 18 and from there we combined with the 20 to return to the center of Bariloche.
If you can choose the day to go, I advise against going on Sundays since those are the days when there is a bus stop in Colonia Switzerland and the buses leave full from there and do not stop along the route.

Spent several hours hiking with our group in this beautiful park. The views are spectacular & the trails are well groomed & easy to navigate. Our guide made the visit even better as she described the history & pointed out the varied flora. Highly recommend spending some time here.

My husband and I arrived by public transport to Puerto Pañuelo and then we walked to the access. At the entrance there is a place where you can buy something hot or drinks, it has several tables where you can have some mates and it has public bathrooms. We did the Arrayanes and Lago Moreno Trail at the first opportunity. It is of low difficulty, you can see beautiful landscapes. Then we returned another day to do Villa Tacul, it seemed a bit long and tiring. We arrived at a small beach that was full of people, very close to the parking lot. To return we took the route and the way seemed shorter to me. Please note that you cannot enter the Llao Llao Municipal Park with motorcycles or bicycles, and animals are not allowed.

Llao llao patagonia, argentina is one of the most remarkable places in the western hemisphere. Beautiful beyond description and yet very accessible. I have visited 5 times and still looking forward to my next trip.

We have to keep pollution out of this beautiful place. So far, the efforts are non existent. But we all can get there. You can get here on public transport.

Some of the signage was in disrepair, and areas of the park were closed, but the trees, shores, and vistas were stunning. The view from the summit of Cerro Llao Llao was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.

We spent a really nice day walking in Llao Llao Municipal Park. The views from Cerro Llao Llao are spectacular on a sunny day. We took a picnic lunch to enjoy at Playa Villa Tacul, there were no other people there so we enjoyed it all to yourself. The other viewpoints were also spectacular.
We caught the #20 bus from town and got off at Puerto Pañuelo. From there we walked the 1-2km along the road to the park office, everything is well signposted from there. It took us 4-5 hours to do the circuit with stops for photos and lunch.

We caught the No 20 bus out to the Llao Llao natural park and discovered a place of astounding peace and beauty. The bus dropped us by the port, where boats depart for various lakeside destinations and we walked into the park. Don't stay on the bus until it gets to the hotel, get off just before. There is a tourist info booth inside and when we went the lady who was there spoke excellent English. We took the trail up to Cerro Llao Llao and then on round the park stopping off for a paddle at the beach of Villa Tacul, there was a stall there that you can buy simple food. The sound of the birdsong is magical, the terrain is not too arduous for 60 year olds such as we and would also be great for families. There is good information on the abundant flora and fauna en route. All in all it's a great and very inexpensive way to while away a day. Views from the hilltop are of course stunning.

Take the number 20 local bus to this excellent park pronounced Show Show as in now. Well maintained paths, interesting plants, magical lakes. Very helpful staff at entrance give you a map and explain options for walks and it is free. Take a picnic and make a whole day outing.

You can get there with bus #20 from central and just off the bus at the Puerto but not the hotel so you are closer to the trail start. I did the loop taking in the Cerro Llao Llao and the lago with a little wooden platform/ dock and it took me about 4 hours in total. The trail is quite flat apart from the detour to the mirador on Cerro Llao Llao. It is a beautiful view with lush green mountains and lakes but if you have been to Patagonia or other view points in the Lake District, especially on the Chilean side then this may not wow you.
If you want to avoid as much uphill walking as possible then do the loop starting with the trail to the Cerro Llao Llao viewpoint (the start is a few hundred meters from the information centre, not the one immediately next to it). If you are physically fit then it doesn't matter that much.

Saludos

I am leading a group of 5 to Bariloche and several members are unable to do long and/or steep hikes. Would they be able to do this hike in Llao Llao? If not, do you have any recommendations around Bariloche? We were thinking about some doing the gondola up Catedral and others hiking up the mountain to meet them at the top. Practical? Going end of November. Any guidance is much appreciated!
