We couldn't stop at all the viewpoints because it was drizzling and really cold, but the ones we could stop at had the most beautiful views, everyone (ages 10 to 80) enjoyed the ride from San Martin De Los Andes to Bariloche, beginning and end...More

One feature of Argentina's Lake District is how vast it is by comparison to say the lake districts of Italy, England and Switzerland. It's spectacular views are seeming endless, and this tour gives you a feel for the area's sheer size as it goes along...More

This is beautiful scenery! We hired bikes in villa la angostura, cycled to hosteria 7 Lagos and from there to San Martin de los Andes. This definitely takes a little organising - I’d suggest pre booking hostels if you’re not camping and we struggled to...More

It is worth allowing plenty of time to do this trip, there are so many places to stop to take photos. Take a picnic, so you can stop for lunch on the way. The only minus is the amount of litter dropped in the picnic...More

This national route, that goes from Villa La Angostura to San Martin de Los Andes, has been completely paved a few years ago. For photo fans, a great adventure. Beautiful sights, a nice mountain road, just to drive it in a relaxed manner, with no...More

We did this drive in not perfect weather but it was still beautiful! The road is very good but quite curvy, it took us a lot longer than we had expected as we stopped a lot to take in the scenery and snap some photos....More

A must-do for anyone visiting, or living in Patagonia. We did this drive after MANY years, and it was as marvellous as the first time we went. Hint - the road wasn't paved then. The autumn colours were amazing.

Sorry we drove so I'm not sure about bike rental companies. We did see bikes on the road which appeared to be set up for long distance rides.
