A building with history with high ceilings. It is wortwhile stepping inside for 5-10 minutes, but there is not much to see inside besides the impressive staircase and the glass windows

This French Neo-Baroque style building was constructed in 1913 on church lands and became the 20th of February Social Club. It is a beautiful building inside and out, and was considered to be quite vanguard in its time, featuring an intricate iron railing lining the grand staircase, tall stately columns, arching wood and glass doorways, Venetian-style polychrome floors, and stained glass from Milan. In 1950, Ricardo Durán, the governor of Salta, designated the building a Government House until 1987, when it was renovated and became a cultural center. The building was declared a national landmark in 1994. Today it is used as a cultural center, hosting small art exhibits, music concerts, and conventions. It is free to enter and only takes 15 or 20 minutes to have a look around. It's not a must-see, but it's beautiful, especially the stairway and the Salon (the grand event room). The building is right in the Plaza de 9 de Julio. Since you'll be there anyway, it's worth a stop.
