Andes Challenge is a tour company specializing in adventure activities. We devise the best activities by working directly with you, our guests. When organizing our hikes, mountain biking trips and other adventure activities, we always plan circuits and tours taking you on a journey through the stunning scenery of this mountainous region, with its unique cultures, from pre-Hispanic times to the present day. Rather than looking on as tourists, we try to immerse ourselves (and you) directly in the culture by close contact with nature and the local inhabitants.

Five days of active motor touring with walks at interesting scenic and historical sites, and visits to wineries and local restaurants. All done with Facundo Zambrano, the tour operator himself. We learned a tremendous amount from him and saw things that were fantastic. Hope to return and engage his services for more time in the Northwest.

I arranged two day tours with Facundo from Andes Challenge. The first trip was MTB Cuesta del Obispo and on the second day hiking tour in Yungus cloud forest, and both were amazing with very different scenery and experience on each trip. The organization was excellent and I felt very comfortable doing these trips as a solo female traveler. I... More

Facundo led a group of 3 of us on an amazing hiking trip through part of the Andes outside Salta. Based on their recommendation, we used a pack mule to carry most of our equipment. Supposedly some people do this trip without a mule, but I'd highly recommend it in order to make the trip more enjoyable. Facundo's English was... More

We booked a private tour with Facundo, after several emails back and forth we came up with a perfect itinerary that included both site seeing, and some more physical activities (like a short Trek and some bike riding). The trip was amazing, with both incredible site seeing and the highlight for me a bicycle ride down Cuesta De Lipan into... More

My boyfriend and I had two amazing days with Facundo. We first did hiking through the yungas rainforest where we saw different birds and had amazing views once we got to the top of the summit. Facundo also packed a delicious picnic. The second tour was a downhill biking trip which had incredible views all the way down. Would strongly... More

We spent 4 days with Facundo trekking around Iruya, Salta and spending 2 nights staying with locals in some very remote villages. It was truly unforgettable! The tour was definitely the highlight of our 2 weeks in Argentina, and I can't recommend it enough. Facundo had great English and was very knowledgeable about the area as he was local and... More

I spent several weeks traveling throughout AR, and this was the absolute (no pun intended) peak of the journey. Facundo has a wide breadth of knowledge of this beautiful part of the world, and he deftly guided us through an adventure workout of hiking. Besides some condors, a few goats, and the sparse but incredibly kind and generous villagers living... More

I can not speak highly enough about Andes Challenge! Facundo and Lucio were great! We had 2 and half days in the Salta region and we knew that we wanted to do some wine tasting and go to the Salinas Grande (salt flats). I emailed Facundo with this information and he put together the following itinerary: Day 1: Picked us... More

I had the pleasure doing a multi-day trip with Andes Challenge in November with my father last November. Having found them on Tripadvisor, in the weeks and months leading up to our trip, Santiago was excellent in email communications to plan exactly what we wanted to do. He was happy to listen to our requests and plan something which covered... More

We had an unforgettable time with Santiago going to Purmarca and the Salt Flats nearby. Aside from all of the driving we had a great lunch and fun time hiking around the town. Santiago was a great host and friend. This was just an awesome way to experience Salta and Jujuy and the Andes Challenge tour was everything we had... More
