This is one of the most beautiful places I have been. Untouched nature and no shops or tourism spots around. Get there by bus from Mendoza but be careful since the bus is not going frequently. Better ask the driver.

Where locals go for summer, spring and holidays. Tons of outdoor activities, kayak, kitesurfing, windsurfing, cliff jumping, trail running, MTB, and camping. Lots of fun but there are no services around but a Gas Station and few little koisks

Very nice place even in wintertime, with an outstanding view of the mountains and very very peaceful. In summertime it’s a nice place for non motorized water sports and fishing.

Potrerillos is gorgeous! Such a beautiful spot to stop off for selfies. You can capture the pretty lake, the snowy mountains, or even turn around and take pictures of the beautiful rocky landscape on the other side. So many beautiful angles.

I haven’t seen anyone swimming or even practicing any activity at the Potrerillos Dam. Perhaps you should try Termas de Cacheuta. At the Mendoza river there are some activities, such as canoeing, and rafting
