The activity that I recommend is climbing the Cerro Uritorco which is in Cordoba province, specifically in Capilla del Monte.
It was an amazing experience!! The walk has to start in the morning, between 8 to 10 am, so it is really cold when you begin, especially if you do it in winter — which is advisable in my point of view because in summer it could be impossible with the heat. But you shouldn't give up. It’s just at the beginning, as you start to climb you feel hotter and start to take off your clothes. The walk is a bit intense, but it isn't impossible, you have to be patient, enjoy the walk, and with effort you will arrive at the top. Once you are there, the view is incredible!! You will breathe the purest air, and also you can take some time to do a meditation, the energy there is very strong. In addition, you could eat something to recover the energy to begin the return.
It is an activity I´d like to recommend to all my friends, because it is one of the most gratifying experiences I've ever done. You can do it with friends, alone, or with people you don't know. In all of the options you will definitely enjoy it.

The mountain is private property. They charge usd 5 per car and usd 16+ access fee (ARP 1500/5000 resp in Jan 23).
At the entrance they have you to sign an affidavit (that you understand whatever law number, health cert etc). As standard they use a 4 hs up and 3 hs down time. At “stop" no 5 guide may ask to show you the slip of paper when you filled out the affidavit. This to check if your progress is ok. Dont know what will happen if you are under their schedule....
No water to buy underway.
That was the but part.
The hike is light demanding 5.3 km long and from aprox 1100 to 1978 masl. We did it in 2h15 hs up and 2 h down. Beautiful views on the top.

Medium difficulty. It is very useful (especially on the way back) to carry at least one cane. The trail has a lot of loose stone so the extra support is appreciated. Bringing 2 liters of water is a real thing, at least in hot weather.
The entrance costs 10,000 because it is private property. In the base cafeteria you can bring water. I recommend at least at this time to go up very early (they open at 7:30) because it is a minimum of 4 hours of ascent and you return with the full sun in front of you and there is no shade.
Still worth the effort!!
It's a pity that there isn't a school that can get you close because it is 2 km of gravel from the center and on the way back you can feel

I had already climbed the uritorico before a few years ago and although it requires a lot of effort to climb it, reaching the top is a reward.

This year I visited the hill again and unfortunately it is no longer a visit that I would recommend for the following reasons:

1. The entrance fee, disproportionately and inexplicably expensive (8 thousand pesos per person).

2. The staff that works there, a disaster, extremely uninformed, they make you sign a sheet where they wash their hands of everything and that's it.

3. The poor hippie who sleeps in the mountains and controls the pace at break 5, extremely rude, it's not your fault he has that job.

4. If you are in chapel You have better options, go even to the clods, you will walk less, you will spend less, the view is much better and they will treat you very well.

Successes!

Terrible business. Access is complicated, from the center with a rickety and very expensive bus. The climb is very expensive: 8,000 adults and 6,000 for minors. The base is a shopping center packed with artisans who sell mainly stones, some of them by weight. The ascent is complicated, it must be done in the morning and it is demanding. On top of that, some tourists started a fire a couple of days after my visit (it seems because of cigarette butts).

December 7, 2023:

I went walking. From the bus terminal to the base it takes about 1 hour. This is where I don't agree so much because it all seemed very commercial to me since at the base you have a place to stop and eat and you also have to register and pay to get on. The upload times are from 6am to 11am due to the time and the descent times until 2:30pm. If you are going to spend the night you can go up until 4pm.
They charge you $12,000 and $18,000 if you spend the night (I don't think it's appropriate since the only thing they give you is a cane and that you can refill water when you enter). Only for this part I don't agree so much.

After my climbing experience, I went alone, having heart problems (obviously I already have this under control and I know to what extent to continue advancing or not) and it took around 1:30 hours to reach the 5th rest stop where I stopped for a bit and got water ( of rain but at that moment I need it). Afterwards, it takes approximately 1 hour to reach the top.
I got down there at 14:27 and it took me 2 hours to get to the base.

Recommendations:
-In summer: carry a minimum of 4 liters of water.
-Sunscreen yes or yes.
-Cap
-Windbreaker
-Meal
-Bag to throw away one's waste (I saw a lot of dirt from other people, please take care of these places)

Upstairs an incredibly beautiful view and a trail that I recommend doing through Códoba :)

I think it's a great business. They now charge $10,000 per person plus $2000 parking. This hill is the private property of someone who is making a fortune. The long weekend was full of tourists. They don't offer anything for what they charge, only the possibility of stepping on it. They take note, they give you a piece of paper that you have to return to make sure that when you close everyone is downstairs and nothing else. They do not provide proof of what they charge.
I wouldn't go back, there are thousands of free and better places in Argentina. The views are good but there are better ones

I came back after several years and uploaded it like 7 times, a spectacle.
Now I didn't do it since they fired me with the price they charge for 24,000 pesos per person plus 4,000 pesos for parking. We were 4 people, obviously we went the other way. The typical Argentine fanfare is a shame.

Despite having experience in mountain trekking, the ascent becomes very difficult because the trails are not at all prepared for a journey of so many meters and with that degree of difficulty (medium/high). It is a shame that they charge what they charge ($8,000) per person and there is not a place to sit at the breaks/viewpoints, since it is a private venture (the hill is not free access, you must pay that fee to a private party that does not issue a regulatory invoice and no alternative access is enabled). Conclusion? Don't let yourself be scammed.

Truth is a disgrace... Previously I went upstairs with my wife who was then my girlfriend and already as a family with my two children aged 12 and 9 we wanted them to have the experience of going upstairs as well but when they arrived at the base they asked me 26 thousand pesos per adult and 22 thousand pesos per child plus parking. It seems like an armed robbery because for the price not a bottle of water gives you... An embarrassment and I thought it was a scam so we hit the back.
