The live singing and dancing was excellent! Top notch. Coming from New York City with performances and culture at our fingertips, it really was a truly special event did dimensions of the space were probably less than ideal for the performers, but they made it work. We were captivated from the moment the lights went down to the moment the lights came up. The house wine offered to us was nothing to write home about. We opted not to have dinner at the venue if you’re going to see world class tango performances this is the place to go huge love and thank you to all the performers and crew.

The food was very good and the waiters, always attentive. The SPECTACULAR show is certainly worth the cost. I recommend arriving at the time indicated or sooner so that you can eat quietly and when the show begins you dedicate yourself fully to the show. 5 stars is little!!

Good food, great show but you will to crammed into the venue on long tables to maximise the paying guests numbers. You will sit next to people you don't know, and be close to them. Inevitably you'll strike up a conversation with your neighbours. I don't know if this is the case with all Tango Dinner Shows, but it certainly is here.
As you are crammed in, some guests will have a partially obstructed view of the stage and the show due to other people's heads, and support posts in the venue. I sat opposite my wife, with my back at a 45 degree angle to the stage. To view the show, I had to turn my body on the chair and lean on the back of it. Turning the chair round wasn't an option for me due to restricted space from the chair behind. Again, this may be common with all Tango Dinner Shows. There were a limited number of circular tables, but we didn't know about that before attending, and the staff seat you. You have no choice in where you sit. May be worth contacting the venue before attending to see if you can book a circular table if that's what you want.
Food is from a set menu, with 3 or so choices for each course. Highly recommend the steak.
The show comprises of couples dancing, group dancing, a pianist, live band, and several singers.
Overall, highly recommended for a great night out, and a 'must do' in Buenos Aires.

So much better than Rojo Tango-$200 show only I went to 2 months ago and I couldn’t see anything below the dancers’ shoulders.
El Querandi was a small venue. We booked the show only and had great seats- I could see the dancer’s feet for $55 and it included transport, a bottle of wine, an appetizer or dessert, water. Book directly with the venue. The dancing singing and music were great. Highly recommend.

We celebrated NYE at El Querandí Tango Show, and it was an unforgettable experience! 1920s themed. It was my first experience in a tango show, and although at first I had doubts about whether I would enjoy it, the show managed to exceed all my expectations. With a narrative that traces the history of tango from its beginnings to contemporary expressions, it is ideal for both beginners and those who already know this genre.
Not only the dancers stood out, but also the musicians and the two singers, whose live music added an emotional depth that further enhanced the show.

The venue offers spectacular tango shows. It is a music and dance show that goes through periods that begin at the end of the 19th century and continue to the present day. You can choose to pay for the show + dinner package, or the show package + some snacks and unlimited drinks (they give you the option of house wine and beer). I paid for the show + snacks/drinks. Probably the best tango experience in Buenos Aires. The meal was excellent with large portions and great wine - far better than what we could have expected.
The show is a history of tango from its roots to present day. Dancers, musicians and singers were all outstanding! It may be a little pricey but you will definitely get your money's worth. If we are ever in BA again we will be back!

We went for the show only (no dinner). We very much enjoyed our experience, found the dancers and musicians of high standard. We cannot comment on how good a tango show it is as this was our first, but would happily recommend it to friends and family.

Amazing, the best Tango show in town. They take you through time and tell the story of Tango in its beginnings until today in modernity. The place is medium size and very cozy. I highly recommend it, the dancers and musicians are spectacular.

On my first trip to Argentina about 15 years ago El Querandí was my first tango show to see. I enjoyed the historical content of the show. I am returning to Buenos Aires in August for 11 nights and I plan on attending several tango shows. I am concerned about many reviews on TripAdvisor talking about the waitstaff pressing for tips. As an American I all ways tip and do so generously when I receive great service but the thought of waitstaff pressing me for tips is a real turn off. It sounds like something that would ruin the evening for me. It also sounds like the food has really declined since my visit many years ago. Do others feel this tipping situation and the quality of the meal ruined the show for them?

We would love to receive you again in our house, other than this say that you should not feel obligated to leave a tip and that if a waiter does please ask him to let the manager of the restaurant know that same night. As for the food we have more than 20 options where you can taste typical Argentine dishes. we hope your visit is to your liking.
