Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

The perfect gift!
May 2018 • Couples
My boyfriend and I love cooking ... and eating. So, for my boyfriend´s birthday, I was looking for something unusual, but intimate (food related of course) as a gift. First, I was in contact with Julia for the organization and planning. She was perfect and very profesional. she helped me find a date and I could choose the menu. She left me the freedom to change whatver detail I did not like. On D-Day, Juliana´s sister welcome us warmly. We directly felt very comfortable. She explained everything to us, it was crystal clear. The way she taught us and showed us how to cook was very entertaining and fun. We learned a lot. She gave us very good cooking tips. The products were very fresh and the food delicious. It has only been one week since the class and we are going to cook everything again, thanks to the recipes they send us the day after. Thank you both for this amazing special night!

Argentine Cooking with a Personal Touch
Mar. 2018 • Couples
This cooking experience was a highlight of our trip to Buenos Aries. We enjoyed this so much because of the setting; it was held in their apartment. Julia and Mariana not only showed us how to make the food but also shared the Argentine Culture surrounding the food. They made us feel right at home while teaching us how to make chipa bread, Carbonada crilla, Corn Empanadas, and Alfajores with Dulce de leche. The Mate and Malbec wine were great to experience with the delicious food. We plan on making these dishes for our family so we were pleased that they provided recipes and also pictures. My husband and I would highly recommend this Cooking Class if you are ever in Buenos Aries...you learn a lot while enjoying a wonderful meal.

Educational, but more fun than school
Jan. 2018 • Couples
I don’t cook, but my wife and our travel friends do. While I saw the city by bike they thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon learning how to prepare Empanadas, Chipa Bread, Alfajores cookies, and drink wine. To be fair they all were experienced in wine drinking before the class. In addition to having a wonderful afternoon with Julia and Marianna they came away with some additional cooking skills. The experience was hands on, and recipes were supplied to duplicate the results back in the states (California). I researched cooking classes in Buenos Aries, and selected Cook Abroad so I am taking credit for their rewarding and fun day. And the best part is I will continue to enjoy their education by partaking in their cooking efforts at home including an upcoming empanadas and wine party.

Chipa bread and much more!
Jan. 2018 • Couples
We were hosted by Julia and her sister as they taught us how to cook Chipa Bread, Afogados, Carbonara, and vegetarian empanadas. Cooking classes are something that we try to do as we travel to learn, get a sense of the culture, and have a great meal. Cook Abroad helped us on all three of those goals and we are going to be cooking the Chipa Bread for the superbowl today!

My friends and I went and took this amazing class on one of our last days in Buenos Aires! The hosts, Julia and Mariana (I hope I got it right) were so lovely, their English was amazing and after all the cooking was done they sat down and had a chat with us like old friends! Would recommend!
