Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. The restaurant is on the sixth floor of a palace on Florida Street. We went for lunch with the executive menu, there were few dishes to choose from. At our table we ordered rolled matambre with Russian salad, hake with natural potatoes and chicken stuffed with vegetables. The menu today costs $6,000 and that includes a drink (water, soda or glass of wine), dessert (flan, bread pudding, floating island or burgundy pears) served from a cart and coffee. It's fair but very good. The waiter was super friendly and the place was impeccable.

This is a great sample of the glorious times of very a country with profound ties with Europe. This French style building was ordered by a small group of entrepreneurs Navy officers. You can make a guided tour, but requires prior booking.

This gem of Buenos Aires architecture has one of the most impressive facades in the whole city. The detail is amazing. It is incredibly and impeccably well preserved. The stunningly executed mansard roof and turret are some of the best examples of neo-classical architecture that exist on this continent. If you are able to go inside, the interior is just as impressive as the facade.

We call to reserve. They attend to us and schedule us at 1:00 p.m. The man told us that even though it is elegant sport and since the temperature of the day was more than 31 degrees, we could go in shorts. We decided not to go back to the hotel to change then. When we arrived the guards rudely told us that we could not enter. We communicated with the supervisor Armando González by phone from the guard and when we met with the person who made the reservation, he acknowledged that he was wrong in what he said. They didn't let us enter. And I don't feel like going now either. A higher caste.

We stayed in a hotel just across the street and were very impressed by the beautiful facade and entrance door of this building. Don't miss this when you are working across Florida street.

The centro naval on Avenida Florida has one of the best facades in the downtown district of the city, not too far from Gasa Rosada. The detail in the entry and upper floors is amazing. It is very well preserved example of neo-classical architecture. Unfortunately I could not go inside.

This is an impressive, if dirty, building in the middle of a somewhat tacky shopping street. It's worth a minute of one's time.

I passed by this building as I was walking down Calle Florida. Impressive architecture, but unfortunately you can only go as far as the lobby.
