This Cultural center is amazing. Beautiful building totally renewed, several activities at the same time, awesome music hall with great performers. Its great, for real. The lowlight, its kind of far from everywhere else and not in an appelling neighbourhood. I've gone walking there from 'el bajo' with no trouble. However, my recommendation go there by cab or uber and... More

I couldn't get in, even during hours they advertise they are open. They are really only open during concerts.

I been here a couple of time to enjoy different jazz venues. The hall have a great layout with excelente views and, overall, a high quality acoustic design, so it's always a real pleasure to listen music this way. In addition, I have visited a Van Gogh exhibition, and it was just good. No more than good

I went with friends to see "David La chapelle" photographie. Incredible. We be delighted as well with a contemporary dance. Everything is nice. The arquitecture of the place was reformed but keeped the original structure, so is like to stay in a London building. The two spectacules were free. And then they have a coffe shop very very good place.... More

In Buenos Aire's art district, surrounded by street art, this gallery is worth a visit. We walked from San Telmo (about 30-40 minutes) and the neigbourhood seemed safe.

Went to Usina del Arte. We walked from San Thelmo and you get a bit of a feel of the other BA in Boca. The usina was beautifull. But the rooms where to display the art rather small. The trip to the next door building was strange. And then Davids photo's: fabulous. So much to see and to explore. We... More

It´s definitely a must see in Buenos Aires! I really loved it! I went there with a group of friends last week and we got to see the Buenos Aires Jazz festival, which was amazing! I loved the atmosphere, the music, everything is very well organized and the best thing: you get to see great concerts/art exhibitions for free, however... More

Young, strong, artistic, greatly organised, first-world level... A place not to miss when touring the working-class district of La Boca! Different alternatives such as concerts, stand-up, exhibitions, performances, etc., all within a beautiful building.

Staying in La Boca

Neighbourhood Profile
La Boca
A neighbourhood defined by its immigrant roots, La Boca still maintains this past alive in its streets today. Due to its proximity to the river, the neighbourhood became the preferred settling area for immigrants of a wide variety of origins, who ended up living together in the conventillos. Thus, these houses became a melting pot of different cultures and traditions that birthed creations like tango and lunfardo. Nowadays, this legacy can be seen and felt on Caminito Street, which welcomes visitors with colourful facades, cobblestones, and street artists showcasing their skills. Just like its neighbor San Telmo, La Boca is one of the prime destinations to experience the traditions and customs that originated from the city’s immigrant past and which have shaped its distinct identity.
