We only had 2 days in BA so it's a great way to have a good look around the city with a guide. We did the southern tour, which covered the San Martin square area, the docks area, eco reserve, and La Boca. Our guide provide a good overview of all the stops and was knowledgeable on the areas. We... More

In our first view days visiting Buenos Aires, my boyfriend and I decided to do a bike tour around the city and booked for the next day at 9:30AM with no issues. Alex was our guide and was very knowledgeable, friendly, informative, interesting and answered any questions we had. His English was also really good. I found bike riding a... More

Alex was able to arrange a last minute bike tour for me. I arrived in Buenos Aires the morning and only had a few hours to sight see before leaving. Alex promptly answered my call and arranged for me to join an existing tour within an hour. Alex spoke perfect English, was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of... More

Alex was a great guide. Very knowledgable and funny with it. The tour lasted four hours and we saw lots of the city. Only slight down side this is a little expensive compared to European bike tours but still worth it.

BikeTours.com.ar. This is a great little tour group. Very relaxed and friendly guides - all of whom were highly knowledgeable. The guides took us at a steady pace with plenty of stops for rests and storytelling. Our guides were Giselle for La Boca/San Telmo and Leo for Palermo/Recoleta and were both brilliant and fun too. The tours were great value... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
