Why walk when you can ride? Buenos Aires is big, flat, filled with bike trails, and way too beautiful to experience behind a bus window, so touring the city by bike is the best way too see more in less time. Our guided tours are safe, cover the best parts of the city, follow many of the newly constructed bike paths, and stop frequently allowing you freedom from the bike to explore on foot, take photos, eat delicious Asado (Bondiola, veggie options also available) and try traditional refreshments (Yerba mate). Visit our website to find out more about what we do, who we are, and why you should join us for an unforgettable day Biking Buenos Aires!

My husband and I had only one day in BA on our way back from Antarctica, and I'm so glad that we chose to spend it with Biking Buenos Aires. We did the full day tour with Marcelo, who is very entertaining, guided us expertly through BA traffic, and most importantly, is a very well-educated historian. He could answer any... More

A friend recommended this to me as one of her favourite experiences in Argentina and I'd have to agree. We did the Southern City tour and it was a fantastic way to take in the oldest parts of the city as well as learning something of its history as we went. Our guides were super friendly and helpful and we... More

Brilliant way to get a feel for the city and its place in history. The Heart of the City Tour covered a wide area at a leisurely place with regular stops for updates from Megan our guide, who was from California. Bikes are good; punctures repaired on the way by Pedro! I always felt safe and would recommend this as... More

Do this at the beginning of your trip! It beats the boring old bus tour any day. I accidentally ended up having a private tour with Marcelo and he was full of interesting facts about each stop. I did the full day tour, taking in San Telmo, La Boca, Recoleta, Retiro and the park. Would definitely recommend this to anyone... More

My son did the tour twice and he found that both tours were informative and fun. The guides were excellent. This is the best way to get to know BA. It started raining halfway through our trip and it was still fun! I can highly recommend it!

Took the heart of the city tour with Marcelo and Renzo. Friendly guys and good info at every stop. More expensive than the competition, but worth it in my opinion.

Two of us had private tour with Santiago on day of our arrival immediately after checking into hotel after overnight flight. We were a half hour late due to traffic but stayed in communication. Santiago was terrific, often suggesting we walk and see things more closely while he watched our bikes. He also told us a lot of argentine history... More

I really liked the biking experiencie. Its a fun way to see many places in buenos aires and also doing some exercise. Our tour guide Marcelo was awesome. Very fun to listen to and knew many many things about the city. His passion about Buenos Aires and the history of it was contagious! The only downside is that you cannot... More

For those looking for an introduction to Buenos Aires & Argentina, I highly recommend the Ultimate City Bike Tour with Biking Buenos Aires. I just moved to BA and had an amazing day riding around this diverse city, learning about its history and culture and enjoying the food, mate and an alfajor. I was blown away by our guide, Megan's,... More

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
