Well worth visiting. Mostly art from Argentina in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. A couple of stand-out paintings - the Turner and the Brueghel. But also, the big Greek vase and the Pharoah's mask are the more impressive because they are alone, not "in...More

We visited the Coleccion Fortabat on recommendation of the museums to visit list and I was glad we did. The building is very interesting on its own and the permanent art collection is of high quality, full of masterpieces.

Walked over from San Telmo and were wowed by the quality of this collection. Well curated with plenty of natural light and wide open spaces to take it all in. Don't miss the gift shop either.Visited 11/2015

There are 3 independent collections that summarized the Argentine and Latin-American art of the 19th and early 20th century: MALBA, MUSEO QUINQUELA MARTIN (LA BOCA), COLECCION AMALIA LACROZE DE FORTABAT. The last one is a private collection that moreover has jewels as couple of pictures...More

Who did not actually enter the place being reviewed. The museum was only partially open due to a changing of exhibits, yet the entry fee remained at the relatively high price of 80 Argentine pesos. One might think a museum showing the collection of the...More
