We visited the Sunday street fair in San Telmo twice and loved it both times. 100's of little stalls selling leather products, antiques, paintings, costume jewelry, clothing, food products . . you can easily spend the full day here and still not be done.

Just a flee market, blocking San Telmo area in the weekends. Poor stuff, though plenty of colours, up to me rather an anti attraction.

We loved it! Bought a lot of things on a fair price. There’s a lot of variety and cool handicraft. Just take cash, its possible you can bargain the price.

We started at Plaza de Mayo and walked down Defensa for about 6-7 blocks. We found some very interesting art and craft items when we started, but the stalls seemed to transition to cheaper souvenir-type items the longer we walked. We were also expecting food...More

Nowhere near as crowded and dangerous as we had been led to believe by other TripAdvisors. We got to Plaza Dorrego at 11am and the sellers had just finished setting up. Some nice knick knacks but nothing special, the many antique shops in the area...More

Walked around the fair for several hours on a warm Sunday in January and loved it. Got some fun survivors, heard good music and was able to see lots of cool sights. Lots of vendors, some better than others. The fair is located just on...More

Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San
Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made
Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many

dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both
locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee
hours of the morning. During the day, the antique
