I just purchase two bags and the girl that helped me was knowledgeable and honest. It took me a while to decide and she was extremely patient and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with my decision. I would purchase again.

Customer "service/assistance" for previous purchase: Visited the shop in January 2016 to ask to buy (note not replair) a leather strap on a bag previously purchased - the leather strap had unfortunately been chewed by my friend's dog. The strap buckles on and off the bag - no repair needed - new strap can easily be attached by me or... More

great shop just of plaza san martin. Service was good and I chose 3 well priced leather bags. They have a great variety of merchandise .they were priced more reasonaby than some of the other leather shops I visited. If I paid by credit card or pesos the rate was 9.5 pesos for 1 US $. If I paid in... More

I just purchased a beautiful bag in a very good quality!! The staff give me the time to look at all the bags I wanted, no hush - just friendly smile and talk. Both me and my husband was in a very good mood - when we left Welcome. So if you go to Buenos Aires - and need to... More

I bought three items at the store at 8:00 PM one night. Went back to the Marriott and decided to exchange one item for my daughter for a MORE EXPENSIVE item. Went back when they opened and was greeted with rudeness. I explained that I wanted to buy the more expensive item and was told "NO - I gave you... More

Store offers good quality products at a reasonable cost - lower than most comparable leather shops in BuenosAires BUT please buy with caution ... I was robbed on the street (pick pocket) shortly after leaving the shop and the circumstances of the robbery point to real serious concerns of involvement of the shop staff. So if interested buy - but... More

Friend referred me to this store. Asked for Judith and she was a jewel. Spend so much time with me showing me handbag choices and gift items. I've read other postings of rude service, but it was not my experience at all. Bought a handbag (now I wish I had gotten another one) when I returned to Calif. and realized... More

Avoid this shop! The staff were rude to the point of being haughty. Even though I'd wanted to make a purchase as soon as I saw a leather bag in the window, the salesperson was so unhelpful (refusing to let me pick up the bag to look inside and check the zipper,) that I decided to go elsewhere to find... Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
