Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This terminal is different than other terminals in that you have to take a bus from the terminal to the ship, about a 8 minute drive. The terminal has limited seating. There is a gift shop in the terminal.

We were here in Jan. 2019 for a 14-day Celebrity Cruise. The check-in process is orderly. However, after you completed the process and got your room keys, you have to take a shuttle bus for 10+ minutes to get to the cruise ship. This is unlike any of our previous cruise experiences, but manageable. Google map might point to the ship location not the check-in location, but the local taxi drivers know exactly where to drop you off for you to begin. On the cruise returning day, again, you have to take the shuttle bus to a building (not the check-in building) to pick up your luggage. There are plenty taxi drivers lined up outside to serve you.

As the terminal is under repair we left Costa Salguero, impeccable organization and location.
The boats should leave there because Quinuela Martin, the area is scary.

The port was very easy to get through for embarkation. Security was fast and each ship had a designated bus stop which took just a minute or two to get from the terminal to ship. Inside of the terminal was great wifi. There were two different accesses for wifi. Go up to the desk right near the front door before you walk outside and you can get the free wifi and access code there. It is much stronger and faster. This is a busy area, but I did not feel concerned for my safety. You could walk into BA but we had a tour.

The traffic to get here was unbearable with huge container trucks and taxis trying to navigate a crummy road in 90 degree heat At the port building there was no electricity, no sir conditioning and no seating as hundreds of people were waiting for a delayed demarcation. Then you had to take a bus to the ship. This city is not prepared to handle huge ships, it was a nightmare

Initially, embarkation was pretty good. No complaints. However, on 12 December 2023, disembarkation after collection by the shuttle was a total shambles, madness, chaotic, disorganised mess which cost me dearly. In all my years of cruising I have never encountered what I saw in complete dismay and bewilderment at this cruise terminal disembarking. It certainly was not through what you see on the photos of the cruise terminal building. What I embarked through was a huge building with no organisation whatsoever. I had cruised with MSC, disembarked the ship, got the shuttle bus, got off the shuttle bus, the nightmare started. When the shuttle finally made up its mind where to park to let passengers off it was in the middle of utter chaos. There were people everywhere, in all different directions. There was no signage or instructions of where to go or what to do. I had no idea where my luggage was and how I should retrieve it. MSC reps were nowhere to be seen, nor any other person in any official capacity. I looked inside the building which I took to be some sort of place to go which was full of different lines of people and I could see baggage which was being picked up. I managed to find my bag but had no idea where to go or what to do next. It was just queue after queue after queue in all different places. So, I joined a queue. The mass of people inside this building was so big that I could not even see where anyone was exiting. Much of the time was a complete standstill. Then the queues would shift a bit, then more standstill and I had no idea why or what was going on. I have never seen anything like it. After a long time I could then see what was happening. Because there were several queues it appeared that people from one queue were being let through one exit, then another lot of people from another queue etc etc. There were a lot of queues and only one exit. Eventually, I got out of this madness, through the one exit (a long time) to be met with the same madness of people and queueing for taxis. There is only one taxi firm and one taxi man arranging for people to get a taxi. I did not know this at first, I saw a sign saying taxis and joined it, but it wasn't the only sign. I could see one man doing what he could. I started to really panic now because I felt I would miss my flight. After another long waiting in the queue I managed to speak to the taxi man, explained I had been queuing a long time and felt I would miss my flight. He took pity on me and found me a taxi. I knew that it would take about 45 minutes to get to the airport approx. However, traffic had built up considerably and it took much longer to get to the airport and I just missed my flight. I had to purchase another flight leaving later, in the evening. I am still waiting to hear about the cause of the problems at the cruise terminal.

We got off the MSC cruise yesterday 2/20/2024 at the Quinquela Martin terminal and a woman offered us a taxi, assuring that it would give us confidence.
The entire trip the driver talked to us and covered his watch. The trip cost us 4 times more than the real value. Surely adulterated and in collusion with the lady who offers it.
Be careful, it could be a bad end to your vacation.

We were the first group that had to leave from Costa Salguero due to not being able to operate the Cruise Terminal due to the collapse of the roof of the departure space.-
The logistics that were achieved for the transfer of people just hours after the storm were excellent.-
CONGRATULATIONS, example that can be done.-

Today more than 2,000 people were crammed in for several hours just to leave with their suitcases. Many of them over 70 years old. No response to broken people. The explanation was that the Customs authorities ordered that all suitcases be opened and checked. Will it be like this? Procedure that they could not complete because it was impossible to implement.
