There is so much to see here: amazing (hidden) restaurants, winding and narrow streets, old unique buildings (unlike any others in Turkey), silk shops, and a mosaic of religions and cultures. Konak and Ala are particularly delicious restaurants. Try some kunefe and baklava as well!...More

Not a museum, not a respository, a place where people live. A maze of small streets, buildings in various states of restauration or decrepitude. A genuine place.

The narrow winding alleyways were fun. The meriad types of shops - tinsmiths, blacksmiths, repair shops for bicycles, silk weaving shops and the covered bazaar selling just everything were great
