The most interesting medieval building in Koper. Right on the main square in the old part of town. There is a museum inside - worth a visit. Different exibitions, even an old pharmacy in the basement.

I visited this museum on Sunday 16th October in the morning from our cruise ship. While in Koper I lost my camera but only discovered the loss in the afternoon. The museum we had visited closed at 2pm on a Sunday. We returned to the town and explained what had happened to the cafe staff across the road from the... More

This stunning looking building from the outside was a big let down inside. The place had been renovated and modernised. There were still a few nice features.... ceilings and beams. The paintings were ok but it didn't really feel you were anywhere old and special

It was a late Sunday afternoon by the time we got back to Koper after having spent most of the day in the capital city of Ljubljana. The Palace was already closed and the plaza itself was rather quiet. We walked past this building towards the old market building. Nothing was open except for the shops in the modern mini... More

One of the two main attractions in Koper. The Palace forms part of the main square and is directly next to Koper Cathedral and the Bell Tower. A nice area to take some time out and have a lazy half hour people watching.

This is a nice place to sit for some time drinking coffee and watching the life on the place. On weekends a lot of wedding couples come here for picture which is really interesting to watch. The city gets overcrowded if a cruise ship is visiting Koper.

The building itself is very interesting from outside, you can watch the different patterns on the facade. The interior is amazing as well. Take the tour if you have time.

We took a half hour tour today and thought it was a very interesting building but our guide was awful. She took us around and was explaining very quickly what was what. The tour took ten minutes. We have never had an experience like it. She explained quickly as she walked so most of us couldn't even hear what she... More

Not only is this palace and the church on the square nice to see, for us it is most of all the absolute positive vibe that stands out in Koper. We have returned there for several times now and each time it feels more like home... Wander through the small streets. It is a small city center and you will... More
