Located only a couple of minutes walk from Old Town , built along the Nabao river , this small, calm and green nice park offers a lot : A nice gazebo , a few lovely statues , a functioning water wheel , a small playground for kids , a cafe , the little Ponte Velha bridge and the sight of some swans , ducks and herons in the river .

The park is located a few metres from the old bridge and you will find a functioning water wheel if you enter near the bridge. It is very well maintained with flowers, shrubs, trees and grass areas. It's an ideal spot for a picnic or to let children run around for a while. On one side of the park it is possible to walk along the river bank.

The photo of the bandstand is not in the park but in the gardens next door - 2 to 3 minutes walk. The park has a waterwheel which is not always working, but is much photographed when it is going round. The park is used for various events - concerts, markets, etc. but is also a good place to sit and relax or for children to play on the grass. There are several benches

We stayed at the Hotel Templar, so this park was literally next door. It is beautifully manicured and maintained and when we were there when the wisteria was in full bloom, as were the redbuds, calla lilies and camellias. Waterways of the River Nabao pass through this park creating spots for rest and excellent photo opportunities. I could have spent the whole morning here admiring the beauty of it all. It is basically located between the Hotel Templar and the Old Town. The bridge and the waterwheel are nearby too.

Locals hang an chill in the city park. The area has cafes and areas for children to play. It sits along the river and a pleasant place to refresh after walking the cityscape.
