More
Spier is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa, with a recorded history dating back to 1692. Spier's winery has won multiple awards in recent years, including Producer of the Year (Mundus Vini, Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2011). We also performed exceptionally at the 2011 International Wine and Spirits Competition (five Best in Class Gold medals and two trophies), and were the top performing SA winery at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for three consecutive years. The Spier cellar has ISO 22000 certification, is Fair Trade accredited, organically certified and follows the Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) criteria.

Very good wines and a relaxed atmosphere to taste at your own pace. Although Spier is large producer it has some very good wines. Especially some slightly sweet white that I found drinkable.

As we were leaving the hotel we decided to do a quick wine tasting. Recommend the R70 option as well as an MCC. We bought more wine!

One of the best wine estates in stellenbosh. Lots of activities for adults and kids. The eagle farm is very good. Excellent wines and wine tasting. They also do a grape juice tasting for kids. Very good wines.

We were two couples doings tastings in the area. We stopped at Spier and had a picnic from the farm kitchen. A nice way to unwind a little and recharge for more wine visits in the afternoon!

Spier is one of the few South African wines I have seen in the US. It's a bug wine estate that lots of tours will stop at. They have a few restaurants which is probably why. It's a good choice for lunch if you are...More

There are many driving companies there for this reason! Or if you book the place we were in, you can walk to 3-4 wineries.
