Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This lovely old church is in the centre of town, and gives the visitor a flavor of times gone by. The property is quite pretty, and the view up to the surrounding mountains is photo worthy!

Stellenbosch town hall is old, but very well maintained and situated very centrally to the town. A must see, with pretty art works place outside.

We really enjoyed wondering around Stellenbosh as the whole place as a unique charm and old school flair about it. The city hall blends in beautifully in the heart of this gorgeous little town.

OK 👌🏻- I have known Stellenbosch and it’s history for years - the cuisine of Stellenbosch has evolved to such an extent it now rivals & surpasses restaurants in Melbourne, New York and Paris (Le Renais de Venise- L’Entrecote) and Le Siemma headed by the Michelin chef - Sebastian Castelot - nails it - every - single - time - with each of his beautifully presented dishes. Just get there and spend 4 hours in Le petite Paris!

Nice town surrounded by wineries. Few blocks with some shops and nice restaurants and bars. Wish we could have had more time to stroll around (we walked around only two hours and did one wine tasting and afterwards to Franschhoek). If we come back to SA again, we will spend at least a couple of days in the wine area/towns.

Great building of the past. They used to organise the voedsel en wijnfeest there, great experience. Nowadays the event became to big and is being held in the park. Pity.
