Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited a friend who is studying at Stellenbosch currently. We decided to look at the Entertainer app to see what is available then we checked what was open as it was afternoon (roughly 4 pm) on a Friday.
We found this estate and after looking at photographs, we were very excited to visit. The gentleman who helped us was quite frankly uninformative and acted too 'cosy' with us for my liking.
What put me off, even more, was when it came time to pay, we wanted to use a card and of course our app. He asked us for cash instead as he had already completed cash-up (prematurely) but when I explained I wanted to use the app, he kept pushing that the tasting 'is so cheap anyway'. I held my ground, used my app, paid by card and left feeling underwhelmed and slightly offended by the experience.

This review concerns the wine tasting venue. As we were staying nearby recently, we picked Zorgvliet for a wine tasting session. The setting is amazing with the lush gardens and the towering Simonsberg in the background. My wife and I went for whites and rosé, and a cheese platter to go with it. However, our waiter, "Mr Lubumbashi" recommended two platters as our two kids were present, and we took his advice. Turns out a platter is quite spectacular with cheeses, crackers, sausages, salamis and what not. Quite delicious, but two platters were way way too much for us, which he surely must have realized. Not cool! Do staff get a commission of their sales? One of the cheeses was still deep frozen and had to be replaced for another one. At least our man offered us some sparkling rosé on the house to make up for it, which was a nice gesture. The wines were generally very good though, so we ended up carrying a box to our car.

We thoroughly enjoyed Zorgvliet Wines Country Lodge's hospitality and would highly recommend the farm. Zorgvliet Wines Country Lodge is well located near Stellenbosch with easy access to a variety of restaurants and wineries and breathtaking mountain views. Friendly, knowledgeable staff were always ready to help with whatever we needed. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Covid 19 protocol on the farm definitely reassured us. Breakfast is delicious and even though the options on the menu were slightly limited the kitchen was more than willing to offer an alternative. If you fancy an intimate getaway, away from the noise, Zorgvliet is definitely the farm.

Just beautiful - stunning setting, lovely spacious room, quiet area. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We had the evening tasting menu with paired wines and each plate was very tasty and beautifully presented. A little bistro along the estate road on site serves lunch in a cute setting....you can get a picnic from them and it also has a little shop of local goods. The wine tasting room is around 800m from the main accommodation - walkable if it's not too hot!
Would happily stay here again if we're in Stellenbosch

Last stop on the burgundy line with the City sightseeing tour and was happy to have chosen this stop as my last one. Had a great conversation with Ismael along with some good wines. Beautiful estate, recommended.

The venue is lovely, but for a big party we had to pay R60pp just to be on the patio. That irked me a bit as an automatic service fee was also added. Which would all have been fine if the food was up to scratch, but it really wasn’t. Mostly dry and tasteless- except the gnocchi. Please work on the food! The wine is delicious and overall we had a good day.

Zorgvliet never disappoints. The service is fantastic and the wines almost as good. The grounds and scenery here are outstanding. Be sure to ask for Langdon as he is an awesome host and very knowledgeable about the estate and the wines. Hope you go and have a blast like we did

Spent two nights here for a wedding. Fabulous hotel with fabulous views. Rooms very nice. One of the best stocked mini bar fridges we have ever seen! The wedding itself was lovely with the service being outside down by the lake. Great venue for a spectacular wedding!

We met the owner, of Zorgvliet, in the UK, some four years ago, and he’d told us about the estate and showed us pictures of the location.
Being here on holiday, this was a must visit, and oh my goodness, our experience here will stay with us, for life.
The location is truly breathtaking. Spectacular mountains, vineyards, gardens and estate.
The wines are genuinely made with love and there is a pride in this estate, from everyone who works there, when you meet them.
Enjoying a tasting here, with Edward, who was outstanding, was truly special.
Thank you for an awesome time. We feel truly lucky to have experienced it.
Not to be missed if you get the chance to visit this area!
Truly wow!

We stayed for one night and felt very welcomed when we arrived. The scenery is beautiful and we really enjoyed the picnic basket which we had in the grounds. They squeezed us in for the complimentary wine tasting, although we arrived too late to do the full tasting. We appreciated this. Would warn anyone staying that the wine tasting centre is about a mile walk from where the accomodation is, so allow plenty of time if you intend to walk there! The picnic stop is roughly halfway in between. The room was all fine. No door for the bathroom if that bothers you, although it is round a corner. I think the pictures are actually better than what you can see from the area near the accommodation, plus the pool is smaller than we expected from the photos. But it was fine for a one night stop.

Hi, can I book a vineyard tour with wine tasting, restaurant booking and hotel from one point?
Thanks Dave
