This is a beautiful and modern tasting room with stunning views. The staff was super friendly and the overall experience was fairly nice. However, they only offer one tasting option: 9 wines (including brandy) for 100 ZAR. Apparently their tastings used to be free and it was attracting lots of freeloaders so now they charge. I'm fine with paying for... More

How beautiful is this winery and deli..... Wow. Worth visiting for the quality of the buildings and the location alone. Excellent buildings, views, wines, food and merchandise.

Don't be in a rush at the wine tasting. You taste nine wines and we split one tasting. We ended up buying 2 wines. Enjoyed the art and the views. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the valley and Stellenbosch are panoramic.

Just like other reviews I read on Tripadvisor, Yes, their service is slow. We also waited ages to be served. Once served, everything was great though. stunning view of wineyard from tasting space was truly amazing and beautiful. People are fun. We enjoyed our time there afterall.

We booked a wine tasting only in this place. Upon arrival after some wait we were lead to the bar area, we decided we wanted to taste some white wine. We had to wait ages for the waiter to come back with spittoon. He served us a Sauvignon Blanc and promptly disappeared and never came back( we later saw him... More

Clearly one of the finest wineries in Stellenbosch and a must visit for any visitor. The wine and views made for a terrific experience and not one we will ever forget. Friendly and informational staff as well. 5 Stars, easy.

9 wines? Who tastes 9 wines, that's like drinking a whole bottle. Clearly only catering for tourists. It also can't be very safe for people to taste 9 wines & hit the road again. The service was terrible, the ladies were very unfriendly. Wanted to buy a Magnum 5litre & we had to fight to taste the wine. Will never... More

I love this venue and their wines. Generally good service but such a pity they only offer a full tasting as people are prone to have favourite varieties. Not sure I'll be back again.

Tokara has a great view over Stellenbosch. However, because of the view, it is very popular and so you may find it quite busy. It's worth a visit thorough not just for the wines but also for their excellent selection of olive oils!
