There is quite a drive - 13km - from the road down a gravel road, followed by a bit of a walk up steps and across bridges - which are a bit rickety. But it's a very peaceful spot, with a dramatic waterfall and tranquil...More

This is a small waterfall, off the road to Cango caves. Its almost 10km from the main road and most of it is unpaved. It can be a bit of a drive but the views to the watefall itself are pretty awesome. You can see...More

The translation of Rust and Vrede is Rest and Peace and you're assured of that here. The best time to go within a couple of days rain as then the waterfall is at its best. Lovely and peaceful walk. Every Nature lover should do this.

We visited the waterfall after Cango Caves and didn't realise how far along the rough road it would be. When you see the sign that says picnic area you have to enter there (not go past looking for an entrance as we did) but it...More

You have to travel some 15km along a gravelled track and pay R43 at the end to access another gravel road to see a waterfall which is just ok. We found the drive was not worth the effort.

The walk to the waterfall is quite safe and we did it with our 3 year old son. It is absolutely beautiful! A memory that I will never forget.

You might think the gravel road never ends, but when you finally reach the park and the waterfall it is a lovely place. Nice for a picknick.

Came upon this place and it seemed off the beaten path. The 'walk' was a bit unsafe, but it was beautiful to be the only people at the bottom of this great waterfall.

This waterfall is definitely off the beaten track. You have to leave the main road going to Cango Caves, then the pavement ends and after another 10km in the dirt, you get to the entrance station where they charge you R39 to either park your...More
