This wine estate has so much potential but the discourteous staff and lack of friendly atmosphere sucks the pleasure right out of the experience. But if you don’t mind being serviced with little enthusiasm and a questionable degree of welcoming, this is the place for you. I do however suggest you bring along fun company for you won't find any... More

Recommended for a lovely lunch - so long as someone else is driving! Luckily we were able to walk here from the Altes Landhaus. We each had a 5 wine taster selection, which comes with tasting notes, and they were all so nice we each had another, different, 5! We also had the cheese selection, which was very good, and... We only had lunch at this winery, set in a lovely location and surprisingly quiet. It was a bit surreal sitting in this lovely spot on our own, supping their very nice craft ales whilst polishing off some great cheese and meat! I can't comment on the wine tastings but they did appear to have a huge range on offer

This was recommended by our hosts in the guesthouse (88 Baron von Reede) and it was really worth the drive out of town: we were looking out on the vineyard and the garden and enjoyed our lunch (cheese plate I think it was...) We then drove on to the Cango Caves which made a perfect half day trip around Oudtshorn.

Very unexpected pleasant surprise stumbling on this restaurant. Loved the platter with a selection of our own choice of wines to taste. Wines are well worth the money. The atmosphere and surroundings add to the experience. Well done to Karusa.

My wife and I visited Karusa vineyards as part of a wine tasting tour. The circumstances under which we found ourselves there were somewhat unusual in that our tasting session there had been arranged by a third party. When we arrived, it became clear that nobody at Karusa was expecting us. This almost became awkward since we were under the... More

Had wine in local hotel and was not disappointed. All the wines in the small tasting we had were great. Especially the Southern Slope Sauvignon and the Chenin/ Sauvignon blend. Oh! And the Viognier!! In fact they were all great. I want to order some crates?!!
