The food at Village Sushi has deteriorated horribly. Had an inedible meal there beginning February 2023. Is it under new ownership?
Miso soup terrible. No miso. Like tasteless dishwater. Red Veg Curry inedible. Stay away!

Stopped here for ice cream after visiting Cape Point. We were pleasantly surprised by what a large, vibrant market it was, selling all sorts of food and drinks primarily (but also clothes, jewellery etc) from temporary stalls in the middle and fixed establishments on the outside. A very entertaining ands pleasant stroll round all the stalls with no hassle from the vendors. Worth a visit if in the area

We popped in here for lunch and ate very well at the Foodbarn. However we wanted to go for a coffee but the Village Roast closed at 2.30pm! Ridiculous in a place like this when everything else is open. We ended up with an extremely average and bitter coffee from the Foodbarn deli.

What is the Noordhoek Farm Village you may ask? It is a small area of restaurants and shops plus a small hotel in one location.
This "village" with an array of places to eat, drink and be merry plus do a little shopping is located in the country side setting of Noordhoek.

Why is it so popular?
Probably because The Noordhoek farm village has several restaurants, coffee shops, deli, estate agency, coffee roasters, pub, ice cream shop, juice bar, gift shop/s, horse tack shop, art on display at some of the establishments and a small boutique hotel which serves delicious sushi. There is also a play area with Jungle gym for the kids. So who ever you take there, there is probably something for everyone (from the health enthusiast to the coffee/beer enthusiast and all the foodies in-between). Plus the kids can play and have an ice cream.

This is a nice little village with a lot of things to do like dining, shopping and enjoying a massage or a beauty treatment at Caroline's spa. I had such a great massage this morning and shopped for great bread and also some yummy frozen meals at the Farm Bakery & Deli. The food Barn restaurant is also there. We had a great meal there several years ago, but yesterday, it was too salty.

Anyway, if you are in Noordhoek, this is a place to visit.

Very nice place, crowded, but nice crowd. I was lucky to witness a proposal in cafe roux today!

It has various shops and restaurants for different tastes. Overall, it is a nice place for a day with family far away from the noisy crowds.

We happened to pick perfect weather on the Sunday we visited. Great little shops and an excellent lunch at Cafe Roux. Playground and lawns for the kids to run around while parents enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fine food and wine. Highly recommended.

The farm village is really lovely, great for families and the food is really good!

Being a first time visitor to the area, I am disgusted in the traffic departments pathetic fine of R500 parking near a no parking sign that was not visible as it was blocked by a mini bus. So anybody from SA driving their vehicles and visiting the area, be advised!

My visit to Noordhoek and my meal cost me less than R100 and the fine of R500 was certainly NOT WORTH IT! I will never go back there again!
