Ideally suited for the fit and restless, this is one spot that is irresistible and you'll struggle to turn back. The desolation of this reserve is part of it's appeal.

We were blessed to be able to stay on the reserve for a number of nights and walked a number of the shorter trails. Despite being so close to civilisation Goukamma gives you the impression of being a million miles away. The bird life is...More

Entrance is cheap and when we were there, there were only two other visitors. So that is great. To get to the main hiking area and the beach we had to cross a river via a boat. That was fun.. and wet. We spent a...More

The coast line is very good looking and has plenty space on the sand, however, parking is quite limited. Restaurant and other shops close by, in case you forgot to purchase a towel or umbrella etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful location. We felt we'd had quite an adventure starting with great fun crossing the estuary, pulling ourselves along ropes attached to the small boat moored at the riverside (pontoon closed)- life jackets were provided!, walked over the...More

The standard of the cottages here is great. The one we stayed in had two double rooms, and open plan lounge with a small kitchen area, and a great barbeque area outside overlooking the lagoon and the beach in the distance. At dusk you see...More

An incredibly beautiful place. The beach is kind of windy, but the water is as blue as the sky and it is a lovely place to take a stroll by the beach or in the forest

This was a lovely forest walk close to the beach, there were quite a few options and attractions. When the weather is good, you can get in a few hours of canoeing and walking. Kids loved it.

I am not sure if you are allowed to take pets in. Your best bet would be to phone them and ask directly.
