The title says it all. Perhaps it was too hot, but not many birds about except the flamingos near the end of the walk through the park. Wouldn't rush back.

We spent maybe an hour here walking along the raised board walk and enjoying the peace and quiet that it offers. A chance to see a forest in it s primitive state - untouched and not spoilt (apart from the essential boardwalk!)

It was great going round the aerial walkways and seeing the birds feeding a flying around but when went into the pond and garden areas it was absolutely astounding to see all the different birds just mingling with the tourist. I wish the grand children could have been us.

you can walk in this huge cage of birds for more than an hour. You can see a large variety of birds flying just over and infront of you. Its also ok to visit this place on rainy or cooler days. Since there is not really much to do in this area when weather isnt that nice.

A fascinating place filled with exotic birds all around you at a very close proximity and even small visitors like tamarins.

Some of the reviews of this pace are actually for 'Birds of Eden' which is nearby. THIS IS NOT BIRDS OF EDEN. This is a 20 - 30 minute walk through an old fragment of yellowwood forest, and it costs R40 for South Africans and a whole lot more for foreign tourists because it is a National Parks run location.... If you have never seen trees or a board walk then just maybe this would be worth while. It took 20minutes to walk and apart from a snail we didn't see a thing. May have been bad luck but I can't see it being worth a visit for most people.

We stopped here for a quick look, and it turned out to be a 30 minute walk along a boardwalk through a forest of tall trees. Parking was difficult (there are some mountain bike trails that start here), and they charge an entry fee - a few dollars for SA citizens but heaps more for tourists, and even more for... More
